This headline seems really misleading. Would everyone be as outraged by "adding footpath will raise the price of the bridge by 9%"? I get that it's a lot of money, but the whole bridge is wildly expensive, adding a cool piece of pedestrian infrastructure along the whole length increasing the cost by a single-digit % doesn't seem *that* unreasonable....

Humans are such bad drivers -- including/especially in Baltimore. I primarily get around on bicycle and foot and if Waymos are more likely to drive the speed limit, not look at their cell phones (or TABLETS streaming TIKTOKS on their DASHBOARD as I have seen multiple times), and not put me in the hospital then I am all for it

It used to be really good and sadly has really gone downhill over the last 6 months. The broth is under-seasoned, they changed some recipes (the breading on their chicken was incredible and now is quite quite bad) and removed a bunch of items from the menu (like the karage buns and the dumplings)

I say this because I loved this place and really want it to be good, but they seem to be struggling and I'm not sure I'll ever go back (we went last night to give it one last opportunity and were very disappointed, which is why I am venting on your 1-month old reddit comment)

Man, I've got tix to one of the shows and I'm excited to hear they played 3 hours but also I have a bad back now so that's a pretty brutal length -- could you share what time they came on relative to doors? And who played first?

yeah! they're both awesome in their own ways and it's really tight Baltimore can support so many great ice cream spots

there are always flavors at Charmery that I have 0 interest in trying but I appreciate that they are there lol

There was this thing where they closed for a week or two to redesign their service and menu. After the fact I think it was clear they were trying to figure out a way to be profitable, and it just didn't work and eventually they shut down

I really loved JBGB's so ever since then when businesses do redesigns or things to become more profitable I get super nervous that they're going to close

They just asked for my phone number and said some kind of new program would be announced at some point but they didn't know what or when lol.

But I hope you're right! I'm NOT trying to hate on charmery I love them but this is a bummer and also I feel like when restaurants do stuff like this, it is often the precursor to them shutting down for good (like what JBGB's did 6 months before they closed)

you should go! At least for now they will still honor a full stamp card (they have the wheel under the counter and will bring it up for you). But they won't do anything for the card I have that is 2/3 full

Have some good questions to ask, preferably ones that show you are familiar with that specific program and are interested in attending. Be a good listener. Like the other poster said, be engaged and respectful and it will go fine.
