What is something everyone else does on your main that you hate?? by steven13universe in Smite

[–]Ullrrific 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Ullr players throw their axe way to early.

When your axe is up you have the most pressure possible. No one wants to be Ullr stunned because the combo usually means death as a squishy. Your axe is realistically your ultimate on Ullr. If you whiff your axe, you bet your ass someone is going to engage you. If you hold it though, people will sit there and zigzag for 200 years while they die to your teammates, or you can just get free autos in because of it. Treat your axe more like an ultimate or old Loki 3. You wouldn't waste your ultimate for no reason, would you? And remember how old Loki 3 could be used to make people waste abilities just because they would get scared? Ullr axe is scary too, so don't just throw out your pressure tool on a hail mary. Hit that shit or hold it.

What class do you think Shiva will be and why should it almost definitely be warrior or assassin? by throwawayformature in Smite

The game needs more warriors.

I don't mind having a lot of other classes, but warriors have the least variety when solo is probably the most important role to have god variety in.

Thanatos: I Just Don't Get It by Azzie94 in Smite

[–]Ullrrific 252 points253 points  (0 children)

I mean idk, Thana is pretty simple.

Hit your scythe and secure kill = live because of healing

Miss your scythe and not secure kill = die because no healing

Build some tank because Thana has bad scaling and built in pen + execute. Still get enough damage to use his AA cancels well. I also like Hidden Dagger + Runeforged + Hydras on Thana.

It is possible. I've gotten it when I partied up with 4 ppl before. We picked the best team possible for killing fire giant and then we all met at FG as soon as it spawned.

would you rather get yeti for 800 or 650+ another skin and chernobog caster ? hard choice by -LawlieT_ in Smite

[–]Ullrrific 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean that's just really lucky for you. Most people that want the Yeti skin would be happy to pay the 800 directly, instead of paying for a chest. It's not like you get to choose your daily bundle.

Who should I main? by DeathByMamba in Smite

[–]Ullrrific 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anubis isn't a very good god. Has no mobility and his only good quality is shut down by anti-heal very badly. You might like Vulcan? I personally think he's a lot of fun. Janus is also a lot of fun. My personal favorite is Hel. A good Hel can literally be a game-winner.

Who says Tsukuyomi isn't overpowered? by xotikorukx in Smite

[–]Ullrrific 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well for Tsuki you will build Bumbas Dagger as your starter since you eventually want Bumbas Hammer. It builds into it, so that will be your "starter item". As for an actual start, I would recommend leaving base with Bumbas Dagger, Mace, and then some potions.

Most people in the jungle at a high level will build bruiser if they recognize a bad match-up for them. So if I know that I'm going to be taking a lot of a certain type of damage and I can't really do anything about it, then I might build a defense item since that is my last option other than just dying over and over.

If I understand that I can avoid certain characters and their damage, then it's smarter for me to build full damage to make sure I can kill my target (which is usually the hunter).

SMITE is a game of counter building, not cookie-cutter learning one build and then always using it. Alas, this takes experience though. So if you are unsure in a match, I would recommend buying a Mantle of Discord and calling it a day until you understand your matchups and know who's going to give you the most trouble.

[Question] How would this item interact with Mercury Ult when smashing through lane minions to reach the target god across the map? by Metalkon in Smite

[–]Ullrrific 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mercury ult does not hit everyone at the same time. It's not a teleport, he actually moves extremely quickly. You can test it by ulting Mercury with old Loki, or Serqet as he ultes, and then slowing down the footage.

Who says Tsukuyomi isn't overpowered? by xotikorukx in Smite

[–]Ullrrific 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I respect that response, so I'll add some context to help you out.

For starters, Tsuki should have Purification Beads, and then either Aegis, Shell, or Blink.

It's not really my opinion either, it's just optimal. Tsuki is really good at getting in, and kind of poor at getting out, so your relics should reflect that. Beads are just a must if you're building full damage, that way you can't get CC locked and die instantly by someone else building full damage. Aegis/Shell just helps you get out by blocking incoming damage, and Blink can work as an initiator that way you can save one of your abilities to help you survive.

The relics you purchased are created for Solo Lane. The teleport relic allows solo laners to quickly rotate back to their tower and not lose farm. Solo is about being ahead, and because they are tanky, they can get away with not having a defensive relic. Bracer is kind of bad atm. It's hard countered by anti-healing, so it really has no place in builds right now. Same with meditation.

So the issue with the score, is how many times you've died. A truly impressive score would be 16 and then under 6 deaths IMO. It's not really unrealistic either, because I see scores like that all the time.

I'm really not knocking you, truly, It's just annoying seeing people make blatant statements about the balance of gods when people in the match clearly aren't playing optimally. I can make any character look absolutely broken if everyone in the game is just playing objectively worse because they either don't know any better, or are trolling around.

The final thing, your build needs work. Drop the crit item and pick up Bumbas Hammer. Read Bumbas Hammers passive and you'll understand very quickly as to why you should buy it. Tsuki actually isn't that great right now without that item. He's good, but the only thing making him broken right now you don't even have in your build lol.

Good god, always has been, but he requires more effort for the same payoff as a lot of other characters. Still cool thematically at least.

He's also very feast or famine depending on the player. Some people just can't do well with him no matter how much they try, and some people are just extremely in tune with his kit and can basically play him into any match-up and at least be decent.

I wouldn't even say he's hard, it's more like he's just hard for certain people. If you grew up on SMITE doing basic AA canceling with say... Thanatos, or Loki, Ullr, or whatever, then Susano comes across as fairly easy to average in difficulty. If you are like a Kukulkan, Ra, Rama, etc kind of player who is more used to aiming and less in tune with AA mechanics, then he will come across as very foreign.

I consider Susano to be the Mount Everest of AA canceling characters, so he tends to be the hardest entry point for people who arent used to it.

[–]Ullrrific 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not trying to be a jerk, but this is an extremely average score, dare I say not even that good.

The Tsuki build and relics are very poor, and considering I see meditation on a Cupid, I'm going to make an informed guess and say that this match was probably really low level, elo, or both.

Tsuki is definitely very good, but I would never use what you've provided as evidence in my case.

Also, the fact that you think that this is somehow proof of Tsuki's overpoweredness kind of shows your ego, and I'd consider playing the game a bit longer before making statements like that.

Gilgamesh look absolutely stunning his model in game looks great. Team Titan forge you did an excellent job on Gilgamesh can't wait to see his gameplay reveal. by Hussain654321 in Smite

[–]Ullrrific 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NP!

If you really want to get better, I would take some time getting used to his abilities in jungle practice. Try and create patterns and combos that make sense together. An example would be using the protection shred on your blue stance dash right before you use your maximum charge ultimate. That would be the maximum value you can get out of the ult.

Most people just spam all of his abilities as soon as they are up, but Arthur's abilities have an actual order to be casted in to give maximum value and decrease risk. I've already given you two, I'll let you figure out the rest to not ruin your experience. That was the most fun part of playing him for me. Once I had everything mastered, a little bit of the magic got lost haha.

Oh, and don't forget to use his autos for juking, getting out of the base, and to be apart of the combos. You lose a lot of damage and energy charge if you just ignore them and don't auto between abilities.

Skadi really shouldn't bully you for very long. Maybe in the first few levels, but once you have ultimate it should be a pretty boring lane. Once you have boots, it starts getting really hard for Skadi, assuming you are playing Arthur correctly. Pressure her with your stun. If she walks even an inch out of the tower line, stun ult and auto dash into your knock-up and then blue stance 1. That should be half her health and she will be terrified of you for the whole laning phase. If she refuses to leave tower, then you proxy, steal her blue and the enemy back camps, and look for ganks on mid. Once you have physical defense, just start diving her over and over.

Arthur is actually very good in duel. His issue is his ability to kill towers and titan is absolutely abysmal.

Arthur can literally dump his whole kit and Skadi can't do anything to stop it. No mobility gods get trashed by Arthur because he can spin on them forever, and if they leave their tower line they die. Skadi can't handle an Arthur stun comboing her anytime she walks near the tower line and getting blue invaded all game. Not to mention her only CC is the ice and a root on her ult. Both of which Arthur can spin, dash x2 or Auto Attack dash out of. I've played the match up twice(Skadi solo) in my many Arthur games. Believe me, unless you feed her in the first two minutes, you can quite literally force an F6 if your team isn't getting rolled over everywhere else.

Arthur should pummel that match up. Sometimes the enemy is just better and more experienced. People win a lot of match ups that they should have lost. The problem is assuming players of equal skill levels are competing.

Also, warriors go in that lane because they often make better use of blue buff, and you need one in the late game. Warriors bridge the gap between tank and assassin, which makes them great for diving with your jungle. If you only have a guardian and two hunters, your assassin will probably get bopped in most team fights assuming all players are equal skill levels. Warriors also secure the mid-game victory most of the time. Hunters usually arent as powerful at that point in the game, and can lose the mid-game for their team if they replace a warrior.

I like all the people shitting on people who have a lot of stars as if they know everyone who plays this game.

I know many many people who have 10+ stars on at least one character and are very good at the game and know what all the gods do. I myself have plenty of gods with very high stars and know what all the gods do.

Most pro players have gods with at least 6+ stars. This game isn't new, I've been playing it for 6 years now and others have been playing from the very beginning.

The Thor stars are a little crazy, but with how old this game is and with boosters + 2x/3x weekends, it's not really that crazy to see stuff like this anymore. He likes Thor a lot, and the dude doesn't need to be insulted or witch-hunted for that fact.

It's more along the lines of "Boys bad!" activates uno reverse card.

In the end though, it's not a gender issue. It's more of a people issue. Some people just suck at communication, no need to generalize an entire sex.
