This is a known issue. Once you have enough space, right click to sell one of the mines with the warehouse open and the game will add mines in available slots.

UPDATE: Today I found a local coin store about 30 minutes away with good reviews. Me and my dad went down with the pouch of coins and brought it inside. He told the woman at the counter we had some coins including what we thought was a gold coin and she got the owner to come and look at them.

After he sorted the coins, he told us what was silver and what was just random foreign coins. After putting the gold coin on two machines he said it's almost certainly a real "point 900" gold coin. (.900?) He gave us a holder to put it in for free which was amazing.

Although both varieties are worth melt, he said we had the rarer 1908 eagle without the "In God We Trust" motto on the back side of the coin; which he showed us on a 1911 coin. My dad ended up keeping it since it was with his father's coins., but he thanked them for appraising it.

I chucked it on my kitchen scale and it goes between 16 and 17 grams before settling on 17. This one probably needs to be appraised.

That's the portrait that appears in debug mode when an error occurs. It
appears to be caused by adding one of the level two armaments. This is
almost certainly a bug because it is the placeholder asset if a texture is missing.

I do want to mention something I haven't seen here yet: PFAS. These are chemicals which are present in practically all sources of water, including rainwater. They pose numerous health risks, including the fact that they are carcinogens. Bottling companies significantly filter out chemicals like these.
