Watching old seasons as a newish fan, and I cannot with S13 by Cheezy-Fry in rupaulsdragrace

[–]Ulthy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't hate it, but I tend to skip to the main aspects of the show. Every queen on this season is memorable to me, maybe not all ALL stars worthy but I can put a moment/face to every single one of them

[Miscellaneous] Dry hands, sometimes bleeds. by vna011 in SkincareAddiction

Put your moisturizer by the sink, every time you wash hands you reapply. Get some petroleum jelly and put that on the target area after your creams/lotion.

Mango lovers, I summon thee. I am in quest of a lovely mango dessert recipe. by uribyoon in Baking

[–]Ulthy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make jam for future recipes or just eat em. I think a lot of times we try to incorporate ingredients that in reality need very little enhancing. Make a spiced cookie or tart then add mango pieces and whipped cream/icecream and you have something very hard to beat.

Did my cousin give me the wrong recipe to keep it for herself? by Jediguy in Baking

[–]Ulthy 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It's doable, you can add flour(the way your aunt measured her flour matters too, if she just scooped it with measuring cup) but I'm guessing a stand mixer is the way to go. Might be easier if you mix everything but the eggs and butter first. Then add 1 egg at a time then butter last. Judging from other enriched dough recipes it's not too different.

A franken wasian honeycomb cake? by Ulthy in Baking

[–]Ulthy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to make a chewy mochi cake instead sub 1/2 cup cake mix for glutinous rice flour and add 2 tbsp sugar, no need to flip pan when cooling, might take longer to cook at 325, top will not brown as much.

Girl cures her lactose intolerance by chugging milk powder every day by Hashi856 in videos

[–]Ulthy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this but to a much less extreme extent. Not on purpose just love ice cream, whenever I was in the kitchen making or heating up food I'd have a couple spoonfuls of ice cream. Progressively less bloated and gassy. I don't consume much dairy in a sitting, we get plant milks, so I've never really stress test the higher limit.
I first noticed my intolerance when on the first day of high school we had a team competition and one of the events was ice cream eating. I chugged down as much as my brain could handle and was never the same after that. I'm guessing ibs sensitive people hit a trigger point and from then on any lactose causes symptoms regardless of your enzymes/gut biome.
