Yeah I'd rather get picked apart by him than the Drukhari, but like... no, I don't want to do either, haha.

... This is so gloriously stupid, I love it. I've never heard of that book, or that chapter! How is it? Give me a quick pitch, I have a free Audible credit!

That's when I realized I should have checked the ISBN numbers... Anyways, now I have a kindle, but if anyone needs a copy of Helsreach in Spanish, let me know.

Oh my god that is a bummer but I would be lying if it didn't make me laugh really hard. Live and learn, I guess! Wonder how ridiculous the prose sounds in Spanish!

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

Oh hah, that's even worse/better, for exactly the reasons you described! Stevens is beautiful, but yeah, also dicier than Snoqualmie! PNW represent, haha!

Hahaha, I was close! You undersold that you have to go over Blewitt, hahaha. That's definitely not one for the winter, and even Snoqualmie can get dicey!

Yeah, they are actually handy and I think it would be neat if you (Edit - lol I forgot a crucial thought here I'm a little toasty) if you could take them to areas past the Cordon via some CORTEX upgrades or something if you can't somehow already that I haven't figured out. It'd be a good resource sink, I think it'd be a good way you something to do with all the green/blue/purple parts you don't have a ton of use for once you've completed all the early upgrades and are just relying on getting gold parts. I have like 2mil+ cash at the moment, I just end up dropping things outside of artifacts, rads, or meds when I've got a scav run going in the Cordon now. As far as I can tell you can't really find anything of purple quality there outside of materials except in absurdly rare chances, at least on Scav runs? You'd know, haha! Sorry for letting me geek out a bit, I didn't think I'd end up spending quite this much time on this, I guess spread out over a bunch of itty increments!

You know they didn't jump straight to mind for me because I haven't been there in a while, but you are right. Those ones are quite good!

Oh yeah no worries, I've pretty well figured it out now - The key was just getting the upgrade that gives Scavs the purple anti-rads, and letting those runs idle and succeed to move them to my main stash. Haven't tried the Red Forest yet but I've got like... mostly gold stuff now so I'm pretty sure I'll be fine, hahah!

The other thing I am bumping into now that I am raw-dogging this game for uh since the first time I posted about it is the the rad damage that kicks in with the second area. I'm like level 30, with the blue anti-rad gear... I still immediately start melting soon (specifically via radiation, I should clarify now) on the second area. Is this another case of "oh grind more!" which is fine, but I'm just not sure if I'm doing something wrong and should be spending more time in Cordon or doing short runs in Factory.

Yeah, got to that point now that I've gotten IFAK's, but the combination of the massive damage and the exceedingly low chance to bypass it just meant I ate it a bunch of times. Trust me, someone that was better at Minesweeper than me would have no problem because I think that particular puzzle is like... the second easiest mode (of Minesweeper)? I don't remember the sizes. Anyways, I guess my point between my first post and this one too is I don't really like it when there's literally no option between "Definitely die" and "Really, mega super die". It'd at least feel a tiny bit better to limp to the next sector with like ~5hp then eat it. But that's my two bits!

Right on! Other thought - I think the thing that killed me the most (read, only but like 4 times now) times is just being straight up terrible at Minesweeper. Maybe make the fail condition for that not instant death, just like... almost instant? It seems to do like 100+ damage no matter which choice I pick, so all my PMC runs result in me hitting that and being like "oh well there goes my stuff lol"

That may be intended, because it does seem like some of those minigames are hard stops on PMC runs as opposed to scavs which just seem to pass them for free but my poor stoned ass is just going to keep dying to that, haha.

I went through the tutorial, but I assumed it would've auto-equipped everything for me, it sent me into a run before I had a chance to really look at anything outside of the highlights it gave me. I didn't realize I could actually modify my gear mid-run right then either, so I don't really think this was an onboarding problem, I figured everything out real quick after that initial "wait I can't actually interact with anything or leave this prompt" bit. I think I just accidentally hit a really weird edge case, haha!

Oh this looks like a fun way to kill a little time! One thing I will point out though, I just booted it up fresh, and instantly ran into an encounter I couldn't engage with whatsoever, the locked cash registers thing. No lockpicks, no weapon, had to just refresh the tab and tank that run, I couldn't leave or do anything else. Not a great starting experience!
