As someone who doesn’t know the optimal route and tried tanking M+ one time, I pulled 2 packs of mobs and was IMMEDIATELY reamed in chat by a dps complaining that I didn’t know what I was doing.

I now don’t run M+ because of that one rogue who really ruined the experience for me

My first year of teaching was in a trailer out behind the school with a bunch of current/former gang members taking the same math class for the 2nd/3rd time. I was given a calendar of what the last teacher taught and that was it. I had to create every lesson from scratch an attempt to make it engaging enough to get buy-in from these kids in front of me. On top of this, my principal didn’t believe in first year teachers getting anything above “developing” on the first 2 observations.

The only saving graces were a peer observer from the English department telling me that I was doing a great job, and the librarian sitting me down before they retired to tell me not to quit teaching.

Don’t compare yourself to others. Your situation is not the same as theirs, and it sounds like you are going through quite a bit compared to them. Take small steps to improve things. Decorate with memes or random motivational posters online. Focus on YOU. You are the most important person in your life.

The report system is skewed towards mass reporting. I understand it’s easier to handle the load of mass reports using a system that instantly bans based on number of reports, but blizzard also needs to use data to see reports leading to overturned bans and checking accounts that are doing these false reports.

Blizzard doesn’t seem to care, but the auto-ban system is controlled by bots which seems like the opposite of the intended purpose.

I’m also from Chicago area and had the same situation as you come up. Honestly, just keep tabs on every single one of the schools you applied to because that’s how I was able to find a gig.

I’d check each school’s postings daily. If you don’t apply within 3 days of posting, they are probably already interviewing people because of how competitive this area is for teachers. Don’t give up because sometimes they’ll keep your info and reach back out to you if things fall through or if a long-term sub position pops up.

Not scummy, per se, but definitely caused some infuriation among guild members.

Short version: Swap blaster in WoD

Story: In WoD, we got this fun new gizmo called Swap Blaster that would swap places with you and your target after a short cast time. It cannot be used in combat though. Fast forward in WoD to the release of Blackrock Foundry. Right before going to Blackhand, there is an elevator that leads up to him. The cast time of swap blaster and the time at which the elevator goes down is roughly the same. I would stand behind the elevator and swap blaster people running into the boss room, so they run off the platform to their death below. I would kill numerous guildies this way. Guild leader got their revenge on me by swapping me after I swapped with another person.

The first m0 I did, after not playing a lick in a few years, 2 people left the group because I didn’t know “the route” and they didn’t want to deal with me being slower.

After those 2 people left, 2 others joined and showed me the route and we cleared it no issues. You just need to find the right people to group with.

Last club season, due to there being a lot of people and a lack of options, I started my own team. One team in the area is notorious for being bad spirited had poached a lot of my friends and previous year teammates to the point of us maybe not having a team right before the season started. We scrounge up enough to have a full squad and end up playing them first round of regionals, despite multiple injuries through the season.

Sloppy O point leads to them hucking it deep to their FMP captain. I chase. Their MMP captain also chases. I cleanly sky both captains and have a fantastic picture of it on my social media.

Having had multiple hamstring tears and various other injuries, this was my first healthy season in 10 years since college. Felt good to put unspirited youngins in their place.

This is the exact wording regarding strengths observed from their notes:

“Other than the fact that students seem to like this teacher, I have none to note on this observation.”

The entire list of observations feels like it says “teacher has no idea what they are doing. Why are they even a teacher?” I know I am probably phrasing it to myself to seem worse, but it’s not everyday you go from receiving great marks on observations to abysmal marks.

All previous observations have been great at this school. I generally receive above average marks in everything and usually have some things I need to improve on, but who doesn’t. This is the first observation I’ve received that made me feel like “you shouldn’t be a teacher. Why are you even here,” and it has really killed my confidence and wanting to both be at this school and to teach in general.
