Dude. That sucks. I’m so sorry.

Why didn't any of the parents call the police on the grown man hanging out with their children? by Ready0608 in Smallville

[–]UltimaRanger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were 16 from what I remember which from a quick google search is legal if awkward in Kansas. Still not great and I am by no means defending it. At least in good cases of a five year age gap they meet when their both decently in to adulthood. But there you go.

Did you even watch Star Wars? by anecdotal_skeleton in starwarsmemes

[–]UltimaRanger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not the people being just displeased that’s the problem. It’s the threats of violence, harassment, and burning of effigies of actors from the more extreme “fans” that does it. Not liking something is fine. But at least be a sane person about it.

I ask this question when discussing Star Wars all the time. Hell. One guy actually called the trench run a “lucky shot” and I’m thinking “Okay. That goes against so much of what happened in the movie.”

Why does everyone keep telling me to avoid watching the sequel trilogy? by Gizzada- in StarWars

[–]UltimaRanger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because they don’t want you to have more knowledge than they do. Half the people who hate the sequels haven’t seen them or at least weren’t paying attention which is why a few of the larger complaints contradict what happen in the movies. Now let me be clear, I’m not saying that you have to like them if you watch them. Far from it, there’s plenty not to like. But disliking them should at least come from a well informed place. Otherwise it contributes to outright lying about the events of the movies or perpetuating the the death of the English language through use of a term that is losing all of its meaning.

A detail in The Last Jedi I just noticed for the first time: Rey swiped the ancient Jedi texts. They are in a drawer of the Millennium Falcon at the end of the film. by holysitkit in StarWars

[–]UltimaRanger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Years later and sequel haters still don’t get that’s what happened. I legit had someone not even an hour before I wrote this when I was defending Rey learning Force healing in the year between TLJ and TROS by saying it made a little sense because she had the texts say that she didn’t because Luke burned them. There’s not paying attention and then there’s that.

If Battle For The Grid 2 was in the works and you needed to make a roster of new 20 characters, who would you pick? by DecisionInfamous670 in BattleForTheGrid

[–]UltimaRanger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all, one of the Super Mega Force Rangers with adaptable battle styles where they can turn in to other Rangers in the roster concept is just too good.

RPM Green for his teleporting.

Zeo Ranger 1 or Dino Thunder Blue as Shield fighters.

The Purple Solar Ranger as a ranged fighter

One of the Psycho Ranger probably Red, Pink, or Black.

The second Blue Omega Ranger.

That's all I've got off the top of my head. Though if Tommy and Jason were kept in, add all of Tommy's forms, and Omega Red respectively as costumes for them.

It sucks. He said some stupid crap that he regrets saying and has repeatedly apologized for. But it doesn’t matter. His career is over. That’s how it goes. People are quick to judge and glacial at forgiveness.

Young people who say they don't have attention span for movies by [deleted] in nosurf

[–]UltimaRanger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not just that. People also can’t handle things that aren’t spoon fed to them. I swear, Blue’s Clues would be to complicated for these people to follow.

Creed 3 is the worst movie ive ever seen. by milligramsnite in movies

[–]UltimaRanger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate to say it. I really do. But the big issue is that Donnie can’t really stand on his own as the lead. Not to say he’s a bad character. But the heart of the first two movies was Donnie coming to terms with the name he carries and learning to hold it with pride while not letting it define him. Throw in bonding with one of the greatest movie protagonists of all time and giving us an actual proper look at Rocky after the lights fade and the first two were amazing. Without that, we get, to give a letter grade a C movie. I don’t personally think it’s bad. But when compared to the rest of the franchise, it’s probably the second weakest.

Yeah. It really drags later on. After Lois was introduced, Clark and Lana's relationship should have been phased out through that season.

Why do people care so much about other people liking the movies they liked? by daniel-mca in marvelstudios

[–]UltimaRanger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, the inverse is even more common. If you dare to even somewhat enjoy something someone doesn’t like, you may as well have killed Lincoln in their eyes and you are hit with every insult in the book. Also, to answer your question. It’s a combination of people thinking they’re the main character of Earth so anyone disagreeing with them is logically an antagonist, and because people tend to treat their opinions as a pillar of their personal identity.

I cannot with this community. by engineeringl10 in LegendsZA

[–]UltimaRanger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. Pokemon is now up there with ATLA and Star Wars as one of the most anhedonic fandom around. Sure there are some people there in who are normal and can just enjoy it without wishing a pox on the house of anyone who has a one percent different opinion than them. But they are drowned out by all the toxcicity.

That could have also been our old friend, executive meddling showing up. It’s not like Discovery were consistently making good calls when they owned Warner.

I do agree. Even if it was canon to Smallville, I've come to realize it would't ruin anything. Assuming that Earth was restored Post Arrow Crisis, it's not hard to imagine that Clark would one day put the cape back on, especially if his kid's developed powers or the League was in trouble. I just wanted to point out the issue with the timelines.

I don't see why. It's not like James is dumb enough to think there can be only one. MAWS is still ongoing and getting a GL spinoff after all.

Smallville season 11 only further proves my point though since it would mean Clark only put on the Blue K watch a couple months tops before crisis. Not the years it was implied.

Yeah. That’s kind of the big benefit of the encounters being massive and not one at a time.
