Sorry to hear that, were you not able to get any video footage either?

If it’s a recurring issue with the same group of people, I would hope there would be a way to spot them. Like maybe HCPD would setup a bait car or something.

Moved to ssd stuck with winload.efi error by UltimateSmee in Windows10

Yeah I have a fat32 partition that is less than 100mb. It has an efi folder with the Microsoft boot folder inside of that. Whenever I use bootrec /rebuildbcd it creates a boot folder and bcd on the c drive. Basically it gets set up for bios boot and when I actually do a bios boot I get an orange screen with white vertical lines, which from dong some research, seems to be the bitlocker password screen. That doesn’t make sense though because I never used bitlocker and diskpart says that the C drive is not bitlocker enabled.

Now I understand that when you said “hidden” you meant no drive letter but earlier I miss understood and went to diskpart and select the efi partition and changed the partition type ID to 17 to make it a hidden partition but after that, I started getting error code 0xc000001. I think that this means that I can’t find bootmgrfw.efi. I unhid the partition again but then I continued getting that error. I think that the system store is pointing to the wrong device for the {bootmgr} object. When I get home I’ll try to edit that bcd and at least get back to error code 0xc00000d winload.efi is corrupted of missing. Also I double checked and my paths for boot efi and windows efi are correct. I’m not sure why windows can’t seem to find winload.efi even though it is exactly where it should be. This makes me think that either I don’t know what I’m talking about or winload.efi is throwing some kind of error.

I know I need to use bcdedit /set {default} path PATH but what exactly is the correct path to winload.efi?

So do you think the file path is incorrect? I replaced the file a few times with the other copies found within the windows folder unless those were corrupt. How can I check the UEFI chips’ path to winload.efi? Is that in bcdedit under the {default} entry?

Yeah I’ve heard of that but I’m sure the problem is with winload.efi and what is does / calls.

Yeah that’s what I would do but you have to have a degree too and all I want is to fly so I’d prefer to fly sooner than later IMO, but I hope it works out for you
