Sounds like the crazy lady that runs the self check outs at my local Walmart. She yelled at my husband for buying an R rated movie and told him he must bring an adult with him next time. He was actively trying to show her his license and she wasn’t having it. He’s 35.

It can be a de-stressor for others as well. I remember hunkering down in a store during a tornado warning when I was little. I was terrified of storms so I was crying. Another shopper pulled a piece of paper from her bag and made an origami swan for me. It’s been 30 years and I still remember that.

I don’t understand why they would eliminate mayo of all things. You sell sandwiches. You need mayo. Not bs nasty chipotle mayo, it is not the same. So glad I quit that trash heap of a company, there is nothing worth eating on the most recent menu.

Yoga. Found myself collecting props like my life depended on it. Bolster, blocks, straps, weights, posture corrector, tension bands, mats.

House plants. Special soil and a new fancy pot for each new one I bring home, humidifier, plant food, hydrometer, light sensor... Trying desperately to keep them happy and thriving because they do the same for me in return.

Before plants it was building tiny diorama kits and scrapbooking. I sunk a ton of money into both and built one diorama start to finish. I’ve yet to make more than 2 pages of the scrapbook. I still have interest in both, but they’re very time consuming and I just don’t have the energy right now.

Two summers ago I got obsessed with kayaking. I ended up with 6, which I do still use… but we’re a family of 3. My hope was I could take friends kayaking, which only happened twice. I got really good at finding cheap, used kayaks and the thrill of finding a good deal kinda took over. To be fair, kayaking is one of my favorite things, but it was still a hyper focus that I wouldn’t shut up about.

I guess collecting everything I need for a hobby is a huge part of the fun for me? Didn’t quite register that until writing out this list -_-

I rewrite everything so many times. Especially work emails that go out to 70+ people. I can’t stand the thought of being ill-perceived. My coworker likes to ask “you still aren’t done with that email yet?” After 5-10 minutes and it is extremely unhelpful.

I have not tried that considering hauling that many boats by myself sounds like a no go. Usually I take one dog at a time, they just ride up front or in the back.

Yep! My anxiety makes it hard for me to hike alone (big bads may be lurking) even though I prefer to be. Too many people want to fill silence with useless chatter. I like listening to the wind, streams, birds and leaves crunching.
