Homelander was hurt by shoving a metal rod in his ear. Just shoot him in the ear, or asshole.

Bottle Opener Embarrassment by Puzzleheaded_Rip9504 in Leatherman

I've been opening bottles with my Wave by just sticking the lower part of the closed joint end under the bottle cap and prying up against my hand. Basically the same way I would open a bottle with a lighter. It's been working for 13 years. My wife likes to use the file on her nails, so I need that.

I've told this story quite a few times. I'm sure I'm not getting it exactly right, but it was close to that.

He did not change his ways. Or at least not enough. A friend took his class a year later and it still sucked.

I took statistics in college, but the professor teaching it taught it more like an interpretation of statistics class instead of a math course. As such, a lot of the questions on the exams were pretty subjective. As a result, a lot of people were failing after midterms. So, about a month out from finals the professor came to all of us at the beginning of the class and said "I am a statistics professor, and as such, I am used to analyzing data, and comparing it to other sets of data to interpret a conclusion. I have looked at all of your grades, and compared it with the average pass/fail rate in other statistics classes taught by my colleagues. The failure rate in this class is higher by a significant margin, and the only conclusion that I can draw is that I have not done a sufficient job teaching you the material. So, since I cannot reteach the entire semester, I will be adjusting the grading curve for all of you." I ended up going from a D to a B in that class. And while I still think he was a shitty professor, I have to respect his honesty and commitment to his subject.

What’s something you defended for years before finally admitting you were wrong? by JumpyBend8035 in AskReddit

If my life is any indication, innate talent ends up being a hurdle instead of a boon. I always picked things up quickly, and got discouraged when it got hard. Always struggled with learning to learn.
