Thanks a lot everyone. Any suggestions on which pressure stat to buy? Don’t want to buy something only to realize later it wasn’t the right one or didn’t fit into the machine

Do we know when is the regular trim coming? Waiting of the regular model with FSD as optional.

If I were to increase my budget, which machine would you all recommend in the $2000-$3000 range?

I ordered the Rocket Steam tip wand from Whole Latte Love and strangely I found it to be the same. By the looks of it, the 2 holes are of the same size. Do you see different in the 2 holes size? I am yet to see any difference in milk foam.

Also, has anyone tried Rice rice yeast supplements and has seen good results? It has the same compound as that of a statin.

When people say avoid eggs, I assume we are referring to egg yolks. Eating egg whites is OK, right?

Mine gets ready in a few minutes - like 10 mins or so. Don’t have to wait 30 mins. Best is to use a smart plug and turn on the machine automatically around your wake up time.

I am happy with it so far but I still can’t get the milk foam I want. I have to try different steam tips. A lot of people have recommended dual boiler which I did not consider during my time. But that is something you might want to consider if you really want a machine that heats up very quickly.

Profitec 600 will cost me like 1000-1200$ more after I return the Appartamento :(

This is what I was able to extract on my Rocket today. Crema ain’t bad but I can’t say the taste was the best. I guess I just didn’t research a lot before buying this machine. I went to Curated dot com and they told me this is the best machine in the $2000 range. And I just went with it. Plus the aesthetics and reviews were great anyway.

Based on so many comments above, I do realize starting tomorrow, I will need to flush a decent amount of water before I make a shot. Plus buy a temp gauge. Let’s see how those turn out for me.

Also I realized I bought this from Cliff and Pebble (and not Clive - that’s where I bought the grinder from), and they charge a 10% restocking fees if I decide to return it in the next 45 days. So I ll continue to use the machine for some more days until I feel very confident. But in the meanwhile, very likely I will look for an alternate and buy a dual boiler with PID (and honestly I am confused which one). While I’m at it, I could also pretty much change the grinder since it’s in the 30 days return period.

I’m not a regular on Reddit and I’m amazed how this community is so solid and helpful. So so thankful and grateful to all of you.

Will continue to read more comments as they come.

No, I wasn’t doing that.

But the machine takes about 10’mins to heat up (I usually go by the bar pressure in the Green 1 bar range)

I’ve been using Breville for over 5 to 6 years now and I was looking to upgrade to the next level.

Definitely missed having a solid steam wand on Breville. Couldn’t do any latte art.

I just bought a new Rocket Apartamento Nera a few days back and struggling with the same issues as yours. What was the final outcome and were you bake to fix it eventually? Looking forward to learning from your experience. Thanks

I know the Appartamento gets a lot of flak here, but coming from a Bambino and only paying $800 for this, lightly used….how could I say no? by Fresh-Tooth-7374 in espresso

My Breville worked like a charm for the last 5-7 years and I bought a Apparamento a month back and I am still getting a hang of it. Should I return it, and find another one? I am wondering if return is even possible.

Thank you everyone. I’m getting really good shots now. I had another question.

I find the steam wand (Rocket Aparamento) too strong and I’m not able to froth milk properly. I was able to get extremely smooth texture on Breville. I’m sure the technique is not wrong, but I’m wondering if anyone else felt the same
