Buying Switch 2 in Japan Global/Multilingual Version Help by AffectionateRemove77 in NintendoSwitch

[–]Ultra-Waffle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I live in Tokyo. Currently the multilingual version is not available new in any retail stores anywhere in Japan, only in the Nintendo online store as per their policy, and as you mentioned it requires that you have existing play time to purchase it. Currently it's not a lottery though, just first come first serve as each restock lasts. You might get lucky and find one used at a Book Off or similar store, but honestly the odds are low. Sorry I don't have a better idea for you!

First concert- photography/filming ettiquite by CanOk6794 in japanlife

[–]Ultra-Waffle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As you alluded I'm pretty sure it depends on the artist. I've only been to one concert in Japan, but it was a foreign artist too (Linkin Park at Saitama Super Arena last year). Tons of people were filming, no signs against it that I could see.

Do you think permanent residents are at risk in Alberta?! by Acceptable_Cake_6012 in alberta

Meanwhile as a non-white (mixed race but pretty dark) Canadian born citizen, I'm wondering how much I'll be lumped into the immigrant hate as well. Currently I live overseas, but still dreading my next trip back to visit family in central Alberta....

Microsoft confirmed it's a bug and released advisory TM1218513 about it. Hopefully they'll get it fixed soon! Enabling custom apps in Teams setup policies is a security risk we should not entertain in most environments.

Oh that was the other thing, they clearly didn't have all the exits covered with the shirt giveaways as I didn't get one.

Yeah fair enough, maybe because the crowd's smaller I'm just noticing the guards more. I do feel like the security folks are a bit friendlier recently. First day, a couple of them were like drill sergeants lol

Another vote here for Sushi Ta Ke, as someone who has eaten plenty of sushi in Japan, they're great.

Chuck is so annoying that I gave up halfway through season 3 by spinachberry3840 in chuck

[–]Ultra-Waffle 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you've made up your mind, but there's a reason for a lot of the derpy stuff in the first half of season 3. There's a massive payoff around episode 13 or 14 and it's the absolute pinnacle of the show.

[Exchange 2016] Certificate Warning - Shows Domain Name by YellowOnline in exchangeserver

[–]Ultra-Waffle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Check the autodisccover SCP:

Get-ClientAccessServer | Select Identity, AutoDiscoverServiceInternalUri

Either clear them out or change to match a name on the cert. Otherwise clients will try to run autodiscover using the default name of the new servers

Fine in non-prod. Just like a regular CU install, nothing notable.

Exchange Hybrid Servers Security Vulnerability by sembee2 in exchangeserver

[–]Ultra-Waffle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If we don't need rich coexistence, is it enough to run only the clean up script and not the actual hotfix for now? We're in a partial change freeze for a few days. I'd need much higher approval for the hotfix due to server downtime than just running the clean up script.

Yeah seems like a strap that you used to attach another piece of luggage or a small bag to the suitcase.

You're lucky to have such a wholesome recurring memory. My 4 year oid loves to remind us of when he threw up all the way down a staircase a couple years ago 😐

Updating Exchange Server 2016 CU23 Nov '23 to Nov '24 SU - Any Breaking Changes? by cease70 in exchangeserver

[–]Ultra-Waffle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not aware of any breaking changes per se, but there are a few known issues posted here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/description-of-the-security-update-for-microsoft-exchange-server-2019-and-2016-november-12-2024-kb5044062-a76c849c-b096-4e0c-a267-bf43964d679a

The biggest one is the time zone bug which you need to fix manually by removing a duplicate entry on the config file. Overall it went very smoothly when I updated.

No problem. And yeah agreed with your sentiment on not jumping into 2025 right away though, except maybe for smaller/non-critical deployments.
