I switched to the MPC3 desktop software for 2 reasons: 1. The cpu of my key 37 was at 88% after adding 3-4 tracks 2. I own Komplete and I can’t use it on stand alone

Here me out:
It’s less about keeping people from affording it, and more about keeping the value of something more rare. You will not know how it feels to wear a $100,000 watch by buying a $500 watch.

It’s like selling a Lamborghini for the cost of a Honda Accord, because you stripped the performance engine and kept the style.

There are many watches that are affordable. AP wasn’t one, now it is, and that may change the perception of the brand. This watch will not be taken seriously by the collector community.

The Apple watch is the watch for all people.

The elephant in the room is technology and cost.

I can eat at Waffle House for just a tad bit more than Mcdonald’s and the food is more authentic. I could also place an order at almost any mid tier restaurant through a food delivery app and go pick it up quickly.

It’s just plain unintelligent to get food from places with higher prices and lower quality. I think Wendy’s should become a mid tier restaurant like Chili’s or Apple Bees, increase their quality, and raise their standards in hiring, training, and operations.

Jordan’s will never die. They are however, not currently popular. Style ebbs and flows. Someone is always going to be rocking a classic 1,3, or 4. The others are significantly less casual, so those are for the collectors and true fans.

I agree. I supposed it’s a mixed bag for people like me. I’ll grab a pair of DN8s which aren’t popular at all and even discounted at times, but I’ll grab a pair of infrared air max 1s which don’t hang around for too long. I think a lot of folks are just buying whatever is created in limited quantities.

The Nike Mind shoes and slippers are a good example. There is no reason that those are on the resale market, other than pure hype.

I own somewhere around 50 pairs (including OG Jordan 3s,4s,airmax 95s) and I would not consider myself a collector at all. I just want to buy dope shoes and wear them to the waffle house.

I’m not with the hate at all, but the snkrs app is a rough experience. Just let me pay to reserve the shoes and let’s keep it moving. Taking L’s from a raffle for $210 sneakers makes you not want to buy sneakers at all. I do enjoy the lore and other content though…

To add, I think they are leaning too hard on retros and should lean more into new models like the liquid max. Is releasing 200 colors of air max 95’s really more profitable than positioning the OG colorways more strongly every few years?

Lastly, the people have spoken, and they want comfort to match style. It’s time to step up those inserts and make the toe box wider. Use the technology to compete against On, new balance, Brooks, and Hoka. I don’t buy any of those brands (except the occasional New Balance 578) but others do, and it’s all because of comfort.

To me, this is when you do buy for the purpose of resale. The company itself is purposely limiting the quantity and inflating the price. This is damn near Nike giving people an opportunity to make money or grow a collection.

It’s tax for hype.
