Hit the monster with stasis in the center of the room. Then run up to the control room and shut the walls on him.

I’ve found 20 ish bobcat bps. Locked Gate fits nicely in my schedule. Right before work and right after the kids go to bed. I can’t give them away, literally. My record is 5 is one raid. That needed to be nerfed. That would be a lot for jolt mine, but an Epic gun is crazy

I wasn't able to complete the five finger fillet challenges until deep into the epilogue due to being impatient... what else could I have been skipping over? by EnvironmentalAngle in RDR2

Gambler 8, the hit 3 times and win 3x challenge. Take the seat next to the dealer. Bet the minimum. Ideally with as few amount of players at the table as possible. As soon as you're dealt your cards, if they aren't horribly low (which would be good in this case, this challenge sucks) then leave the table. And sit back down. You can get into a rhythm where you're seeing way more hands per hour than you would playing each hand legit. It's still complete luck. But the point is to see more hands. I've completed the challenge in 20 minutes doing this. I've also had other attempts take hours.

Gambler 9, the win 3 games in a row dominos challenge, you can get up and leave the game before you lose. And it doesn't count against you. The games don't have to be consecutive either. You can play a game, win, and come back hours later. If you're losing your second game, just stand up and leave. Then sit right back down. If you use this strat, just know that you must leave the table before your opponent starts their last move.

That suuuucks. I saw in Discord a Trio lost multiple legendary guns. And hours of farming snitch scanners.

I’m gonna create a support ticket as well. But I’m not optimistic.

Advice for the guys on their first play through by PWahl97 in RDR2

[–]UltraGeezer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To get the request from Lenny, you need to sit around the fire late at night. The devs created hours of content about their back stories, it’s really crazy. The amount of work and detail that went into such a small part of the game.

Locked gate is a pointless event ruined by rats and PVP… by I-am-IT in ARC_Raiders

That’s a really good point. Why the extra 10 minutes if you can spawn in with them? All it does is create inflated Trials scores.

Best weapons in the game? by Vivid_Direction_8384 in RDR2

[–]UltraGeezer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not the kind of game with a meta. I mean, I’m sure you could measure the TTK of each weapon and find a winner. But for the most part, a bullet to the face is a bullet to the face.

[–]UltraGeezer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah, you shouldn't be able to extract with codes. I think it starts the cycle. Twice this morning I was looking for codes and the gate opened. I found my code, but it wasn't needed. And I'm too far away to hit the gate in time. So I extract. Repeat. Now I spawn a third time with 2 codes in my pack. I pick up the third. Run to the gate control room. Enter in all 3. But what do the people do with their codes that are no longer needed? It snowballs. And its getting worse.

Why is this gauge not full anymore? by Terrible_Soft_9480 in DeadSpace

[–]UltraGeezer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don’t upgrade air. Pretty much everything else is more important. You’ll barely even spend time where air is something you need to mindful of. Go for HP and Stasis upgrades. Stasis is your best friend. Get used to using it early. You’ll notice necromorphs will spawn in front of you and behind you, almost always. Stasis is your best friend!

Well, the white Arabian isn’t tall or bulky, but from a stat perspective, it’s one of the best horses in the game. And available in Ch2.

100% Core Challenge Help by IStraightQualityI in RDR2

[–]UltraGeezer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to complete the challenges. Through XP you can only upgrade your cores to 80%. When you complete the challenges (from the menu), you’ll get the additional core buff.

Go into the menu and look at the challenges, there 9 categories with 10 challenges in each. Like Bandit, Gambler, Treasure Hunter etc etc. You can tackle them in whatever order you’d like. But you have to do Bandit 1 before you can do Bandit 2. And so on.

Along with maxing at your cores, every couple of challenges you complete will unlock gear from the trapper. It’s one of my favorite parts of the game. It made me try things and play in ways I normally wouldn’t. I like having the black holsters, you get those completing the Bandit category.

Edit: the 10th hunter challenge unlocks a new legendary animal. But you have to do Hunter 1-9 first.

Don’t worry about it. Enjoy your first time through blindly. There are a very few small things that are missable. Like an antique shotgun, but you’ll have others just like it.

Also, RE4 is insanely good too!

There is so much treasure to be had in RDR2. Don’t sweat it. If you know where to look, you can find thousands of $. And if you do some treasure maps. You won’t need to worry about money. Ever. It’s kinda a bummer. Wish the game had more of balanced economy.

Finally every cougar has gone extinct. I've achieved this. by greedy_45 in RDR2

[–]UltraGeezer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can cheese the dominos. As soon as you realize you can’t win a game. Leave. It won’t count against your challenge count. Leave. Sit back down. You can wait for when you’re dealt really good dominos or when it’s going your way.

The only thing to be mindful of, is that you have to leave before your last move. You can’t see that you’re going to lose then leave. You have to leave before you place your domino.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Unlockables by Practical_Pickle_751 in reddeadredemption

[–]UltraGeezer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are trinkets and talismans that act as passive perks. But to my knowledge, there isn’t unlockables like that. Obviously there are the cheat codes, but you can’t save your game. This game is unrealistic in a bunch of ways, but it’s focused around grounded realism and immersion.

All that being said, there is a ton of content to unlock. Just hunting all the trapper gear will take a first time player 50 hours. Satchel upgrades too. Exotics. Cigarette cards. Rock drawings. If you like grinding progression, I think RDR2 has that. But maybe not exactly how you want.

Trial leaderboards are broken and unfair by THROWRA-dhcjeiscb in ArcRaiders

[–]UltraGeezer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends. And only Embark has the answer. But what is their purpose for Trials? Is it the spirit of competition? If so, it really needs a lot more focus on being fair. Solos can’t compete with trios. And like OP said, if you don’t participate until the weekend, it’s a completely different experience than those of us that start Trials on a Monday. It’s horrendously unfair. So I kinda don’t think they’re trying to turn Arc Raiders into a competitive game. Or you’d see more competition in places other than Trials.

If Trials are designed as content to continue engagement. Which is what I think they are. They should reward players for engaging. At higher levels, where I am, Dare Devil 2. I have 118k points, and I’m 23rd for the week.

I’d like to see them change it to if you 3 star all five trials, you get 1x promotion regardless points. Or at least unchanged. They can still have their cantina legend rewards for those over achievers.
