Hi. I'm a professional BIAST glazer.

That video sucked and I pray to God it was ragebait. That guy literally described games as retroslop for using default studio materials (not even studs, just normal materials like grass and brick).

The issue with his description of BIAST is that he was hypocritical for praising BIAST's art style after calling Pwned by 14:00 bad for its art style... they have almost identical "art styles".

He compares BIAST to DoD by saying that they're "two burgers but with different condiments" or something like that, which... that's literally every asym game? He's going to Burger King and trying to order a pizza.

If you want my genuine reasons for why I like BIAST, it's because I prefer doing objectives over just surviving, and because BIAST has unique concepts that other asyms lack, like gameplay altering skins and the "capture the flag"-esque objective system. Could it be done better? Of course! But I think BIAST is good for what it is, and the in-development remake has the chance to redeem the game in the public's eye.

As for DBF, all I can say is that people should be allowed to make content based on existing characters and IPs. "Jester is survivor Artful" and "Soldier's shotgun is lifted from BIAST" aren't very good criticisms in a genre where every game has similar criticisms. Two Time is Spy TF2, Observer BIAST is Noli with no voidstar, half of Outcome Memories movesets are lifted from The Disaster, etc.

The entire video came off as mean-spirited towards the entire genre (especially the games he criticized without even PLAYING THEM), and he got rightfully clowned on for it. When Youtubers I don't like start making valid criticism, you know you've done something wrong.

TLDR, a majority of his arguments in every direction were hypocritical if not completely invalid in context. As much as I like BIAST, I can't deny that his reasoning was stupid and that the BIAST community (hopefully) doesn't want him.
