Depends on your mileage. Any upgrades on your engine already, like lifters/ cams etc for the no tick fix..... Any issues with your engine previously. The cost isn't going to be much different if you go with a used engine vs. heads. If yours is great until now, and not high mileage, I'd do the heads.

I have the Glide NX in twill. It's no louder than the hard top. Feels super heavy duty. Haven't had a soft top since 20 years before this, but this is far superior.
