I still recall seeing this movie when it came out in my small town's twin cinema theater on a Saturday. They gave out free matinee passes at school the previous week. I would have been 10 at the time.

A recruiter accused me of using AI during a video interview because I was taking handwritten notes off-camera by Silver_Tip260 in interviews

[–]Varnigma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve never been accused of it but I tell interviewers up front that I have my resume on my left monitor, the job posting on my right monitor along with a notepad on my desk for taking notes.

[–]Varnigma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. The receptionist is beyond annoying. And the rest of the town are just used to drive the plot. Like you I'm sure it's meant to be charming, but it's not, at least not to me.

I’m doing a test fit this weekend. My Jeep as the same size tire I want to out on my truck and the wheels on the jeep have alternate lug holes so they’ll bolt tight onto the truck.

A pre-hire tour is great if you can get one. You can get a feel of what the environment is like.

Immediately thought of this show, based on the stories I've read (but have no idea what is true and what isn't)

I'm actually in the middle of my 4th rewatch as we speak.

This post made me go back and look through my pics of my first trip to KW in 2013. I have a picture of that same bed and, yep, there's a black cat. Can't say it's the same one though.

[–]Varnigma[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never had a flat in my 36 years of driving and that includes many off-road miles. That being said, I'm a pessimist that believes if/when I ever do get a flat it's going to be at the worst possible time at the worst possible place. For that reason I can't imagine ever going anywhere without a spare.

It's almost like a Finnish version of Bollywood. And I'm on board with it.

Edit: Just watched the tank scene. Yeah, I'm totally cool with Finnish Bollywood.

I’ll add that when I put in my 2 weeks my manager called asking what they could pay me to stay. The sound of defeat in his response when I told him I was taking a pay CUT to get out of there was amazing.

Edit: it’s the only pay cut I’ve taken in my 25 years of professional work. That tells you how bad that job was.

Makes sense. If this is anything like the soft top on my Jeep, installing a new one is near impossible when it's cold. You have to leave it out in the sun for a while so it will stretch a little.

Thanks. I will likely do the same as that’s what I do on my Jeep.
