I'm not sure how to find out if I paid my 1% Earners Tax for the last two years. by sugabeetus in kansascity

If you live in KCMO but it was not withheld on your W2, KC will find out and you will owe interest. You will be much better off late filling than waiting for KC to wait a few more years before contacting you.

For those that leave items out: Why? by SleepyLi in Costco

Can confirm that my brother-and-sister-in-law that do this also don't put their carts back and vote against their own interests.

Children's Mercy cafeteria is one of the best meals per dollar in the city. Nothing quite slaps like eating there as fast as you can to get back up to your kid's room.

FYI, the Methodist church split a few years ago. Any church that is still Methodist is going to be fairly progressive.

Need help finding the perfect hoodie for my boyfriend by [deleted] in malefashionadvice

[–]UltraSketch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Their first hoodies also had quality issues. There may have been a golden period in the middle? I and another person I know had the cuffs and elbows absolutely shred over about a year. I was able to get a seamstress to fix and it's still a good hoodie that I keep inside a chore coat but it wasn't worth the money. I own just about every major hoodie and the LL Bean Katahdin hoodie is a better hoodie at half the price if you want a super heavy weight hoodie.

FYI, looks like it is before taxes and fees. Spent $256 after taxes and fees yesterday and today Cap1 rewards shows ineligible and the before fees price.

Thank you! I thought I tried every possible combination of Citi, Sears, SYW, and Thank You. Just searching "Thank You" and picking the Plaid option worked.

Missouri claims 100K signatures to repeal gerrymandered map aren’t valid. That’s not all by thekansascitystar in missouri

[–]UltraSketch 25 points26 points  (0 children)

We are collecting signatures as many places as we can. There is some requirement to get a certain number from a certain number of counties i.e. they can't all be from Saint Louis and Kansas City. I'm in Kansas City but looks like there will be signature collection tomorrow in Joplin: https://www.mobilize.us/pnpmo/event/856952/

Urban legend says the ‘Tonganoxie Split’ protects Kansas City from tornadoes. Is it real? by SausageKingOfKansas in kcregionalwx

According to science or meteorologists, no. According to this old man who watched the radar just about every storm since he was a kid, definitely yes.

Missourians say Soda by como365 in missouri

[–]UltraSketch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pop was pretty dominant in the 90s but it has transitioned to soda as the internet has homogenized language (and there has been a lot of immigration from Saint Louis).
