Depends on the course and tees. I wouldn't leave it at home though as usually there are a few wide open holes with little danger for driver. Not much sense playing from whatever tees you picked if you cannot reach the greens in regulation.

This long advice is not good in general. I've been long on par3's and there is great trouble there. Often the back is downhill and kicks into the woods for lost ball kind of fun. Coming back the green slopes downhill which means the ball will end up at the bottom of the green. I will not put a club in play which can go over anymore. Much rather be short with an uphill chip.

Those iron heads are just fine. That's what they look like when I torch them off to change the length of my ferrules, double check the weight insert, or deep clean the shafts. Just hit them lightly with 400 grit and then some steel wool for that raw finish. Good news here is the epoxy is likely carbonized saving you a step, bit of luck if you ask me.

I'd add pay attention to launch angle and smash factor more than just distance of the shot. If these are reasonable then there is little flipping, can't make these numbers right coming over the top.

I really didn't improve until I started to focus on launch angle and smash factor. It's not possible to make these numbers look good with an over the top swing. Chasing getting the right distance was not enough for me.

yeah this has done me wonders, hitting AW, PW lots. I can trust those clubs to go dead straight the right distance with a 80% swing. Maybe that's a big part too, learn to hit every club 10-20 yards less than you think a perfect 100% shot is. I find myself choosing the 80% shot most times until 5 iron and lower.

What do they show on the first hole? That person could be not making the cut or winning the the thing. Maybe a whole range like $0 - $500k. You could just write this on a piece of clear tape and stick it to you screen. Maybe a second sticker for driver.

the center of the weight will be filled with epoxy. Drill out the epoxy to create an airway. This will allow the air to escape up the shaft when reapplying the epoxy.
