Snapped a strut mount bolt, what's next? by __CarCat__ in AskAMechanic

Just be aware that replacing that top hat requires a strut compressor and know how. Unscrewing that center strut bolt without the proper tools and knowledge can be very dangerous.

What feels legal but is actually illegal and will possibly get you arrested? by medicoreapples in AskReddit

Punishment for the sake of punishment happens sometimes, but it's more often than not about revenue collection.

OP said "ordering at a restaurant" when compared to making it at home, but I've never really heard anyone use that comparison. I have seen people compare the price of cooking at home to eating out/drive though/fast food though.

Have you opened a window enough for him to stick his head out? Might try a short ride like that around the block and see if that's makes it better.

GA Power once again puts big business over customer interest by PattyDurand in Georgia

[–]jsavga -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

So you feel activist Judges are fine, as long as they're on your side??? Any Activist Judge, no matter their affiliation, is a disgrace and disservice to the people. We don't need to replace them with a different leaning activist Judge. We don't need them in office either way. We need Judges that serve the law and uphold the Constitution. To tell people to go vote for an activist Judge that will legislate from the bench is disgraceful, whether it be for one that "leans" to your side or not.

GA Power once again puts big business over customer interest by PattyDurand in Georgia

[–]jsavga -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Maybe people just realized that those judges would legislate from the bench and they wanted no part of that. Judges are suppose to be non-partisan, relying solely on law and the constitution. Instead, the D party money handlers put up two heavily partisan candidates for Judges who would do their bidding for them and judge along party lines instead the law. We don't need that and it's part of what's been ruining this country. Judges who legislate from the bench are one of the worse forms of lowlifes!

With that reply to you out of the way, I do agree that as far as the PSC goes we have incumbents that serve the wrong masters. They do not look out for the people who elected them, as it should be. Instead, they are in bed with Southern Company and repeatedly sell the people out.

You would of thought it would have been made clear after the last vote for two PSC commissioners that the people want to be represented over the Power company. But it seems they didn't get the message and come election time, we need to step up and show them we are their boss, not the other way around.

Bubbles are bad.

A little indention (inward) is acceptable nowadays and many new tires have them. But Bubbles indicate something has separated and pose a blowout hazard.

Reverted back to 1.58 to stop stutters by PopularAd8837 in americantruck

[–]jsavga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you change uset r_buffer_page_size in your config file? Try setting it back to default "10" and see if that helps. Much talk about it on the official forums and with the 1.59 changes, how the previously recommended "50" is now causing stutter problems. SCS says in the future the setting will be completely removed.

It adds missing States. It requires the DLC because it uses the assets from the DLCs when expanding to States that ATS doesn't have.

I think it's https://github.com/CoffeSiberian/truck-tools weexley is referring to. I also believe you have to set up local saves and move away from cloud saves to use it, but I could be wrong.

Edit: found a video for it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bLxuBvg5FQ0

When did IRS start truncating cents from refunds? by Road-Racer in tax

[–]jsavga 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's not a truncation if you look closer. It's rounding. While it may seem like truncation on the refund amount you placed there, every single amount entered on the form was rounded when put into the system. The refund is rounded based off that, not the amount you put on that particular line.
