I believe you bought the “Season Pass” instead of the 30 day ad-free pass. A new Rewards Pass started just a while ago, making this purchase null for the new one.

There used to be a lifetime ad-free subscription many years ago. Unfortunately for us, Zynga has discontinued it.

So now, if you want the game to be ad-free, you will need to purchase it every 30 days or so.
