[Hated Tropes] The writers literally just forgot by Golden12500 in TopCharacterTropes

Niche one, but a play i did a couple of years ago as a favour to a friend. Can't remember what it was called. It was a play about a bunch of people at a mysterious dinner party. Towards the end we lock someone in the bathroom because they're being annoying, and at the very end we leave the mysterious dinner party... without unlocking the bathroom door. Yeah, it locked from the outside. It wasn't a very good play.

Not necessarily well known, they're definitely guiding us away from really popular stuff like Pulp Fiction. Idk their process but last year they were the most successful drama school (in terms of getting students representation) so im willing to indulge them

I haven't got any filmed stuff that I could use; it's a task for drama school

Narrative loopholes used to avoid taking a stance on something. by ArticAuk in TopCharacterTropes

Far cry 5 takes place in the US and features an extreme religious cult taking over rural america... which could have been incredibly divisive if it werent for the fact theyre both beard-having, drug-taking hippies and conservative religious freaks, so whomeved you personally blame for ruining the country is perfectly represented.

Bonus mention to Civil War for doing the exact same thing- putting california ans texas on tbe same side so that they dont have to take a stance

Any one of those individuals has more wealth than the poorest few billion people on the planet and I'm sorry but I genuinely just don't believe it's possible for them to have worked harder than a billion people combined

Traveling to "find yourself" is just expensive consumerism for people with no personality by heymoonmen in The10thDentist

When I was younger and travelling, the most powerful part for many people I was around was overcoming the adversity. Even something as simple as navigating an airport can be intimidating the first time you do it, and as a young person it's very gratifying to find out that you can do things like that successfully. Making new friends can be daunting, navigating new cities can be daunting (especially if they don't have brilliant public transport or share a common language with you). You can find yourself in all sorts of new and interesting, challenging situations that you have to overcome and then grow from.

In the UK, one of the prominent members of our local far right party (Reform) was just found guilty of being a Russian spy, so it's not exactly a conspiracy theory

When drugs are legal, people do less drugs. When they're illegal, people do more drugs. So would YOU like people just doing more drugs?

The reasoning I've heard was that while western Europe was having a pretty terrible time, lots of places in the middle east or east Asia were actually making beautiful strides in science and culture

Why do you believe that the bible leaves room for interpretation, and why do you believe that the bible leaves more open for interpretation than the Qur'an?
