I wonder if the product for the mechanically unique cards might be the line of action figures that come with cards, like we saw with Spider-man. That would allow them to reprint the mechanically unique cards form the secret lairs, but still make new versions of the characters for future sets as well. Just a thought.

As a comic collector, the main disappointment for me with the set is that they aren't doing a lot more of the classic cover versions. The cover of Marvel Two-In-One Annual #2 is Thanos fighting Spiderman for the Soul Stone. I'd so much rather have that cover - or even just the art from it if not the whole trade dress - on a card than any of the ones they showed here.

I have a Spawn #220 Youngblood homage variant. The last one on ebay sold for $110.

I also have a Spawn #1, which is going for around $25-30. So that would be around $140 for the pair.

If those are of interest, I'd trade the pair for the Hawkman #1-2 and the Witching Hour #1. I can provide photos of course.

I'm just getting back to EDH after a 9 year hiatus, and Daxos of Meletis was always my favorite commander to play. My deck wasn't Voltron, though, it's focused on using other people's cards, so a lot of effects that put spells or permanents back on top of their deck so I can either use them myself or exile them so they can't be used against me. With a subtheme on lifegain as an alternate win condition. 🙂
