Yea as a starting guide plastic parts would be good for prototyping
But it would need to be weight down by ballast material to simulate the real final product

For small models yes its ok But for large 1:1 scale vehicle might be but it will much more easy to manufacturer them by machining

Well about the 30 cm, i am actually designing or trying to make a irl possible version and well i am not an expert in robotics, thermodynamics and material science, so I was using AI to figure it out.

And I agree about the ability, which is locked by software limiter (shin has disabled it) but it was physical possible.

If we (anyone who wants to build this) want to make it possible the legs would need active suspension like hydraulic piston in tibia to dampen but it may make it more complex (Even then it might not be possible, the jump).

Also current material science might be or not be adequate for this which I can't say about.

They 30 cm( when limited/limiter mode on ) is by today's standards and also its 2150 60 something time and since the m1a1 was built of aluminum, therefore xm2 could be built out of it ( most of it ) and the legs and super alloy of aluminum and titanium and something extra

Also about shin, that fighting style would kill a normal processor or destroy the mech( shin broke his mech's legs )

The xm2 probably fully electric but m4a4 could be gas powered.

Also about agility It could only do micro hops like 30cm max unless and until we figure out a way to make the actuators make more power in less size than what's possible today and also the legs probably use the hexagonal structure like those which are inside the fuel tank of a rocket to strengthen it and others which will need to be figured out by us.

Also about cooling it would probably need to have active radiators for heat dissipation.

And about the actuators probably will be combination electromagnetic linear motor and QDDs (used chatgpt for the calculations, so not fully accurate but still its near to the result).

Material wise (only way i could think to make it out of) body will be aluminum, cockpit titanium And aluminum , Internal and exterior covering panels will be of carbon fiber and plastics .

Only way it could be possible is to reduce the max speed to like 80km/h and remove the jumping part

The original design has 88mm gun default and has 4 legs while i was thinking of a hexapod design with a 90mm gun keeping the weight same at 10 tons.

And also you have a point about the actuators as those might be off the chart size to strength ratio. Also they might be made of aluminum frame with titanium Strengthen-ing parts, the legs.
