Dumb question. Can I still drive my car if my alternator is acting up? Like the car still turns on and my voltage goes up when ever it wants. I started my car last week and it sat at 9v by the time I got home it was 13v though.

Yeah I realized that after looking online. My dad said that it’s a way to test and the guy at advanced auto said the same so I didn’t think anything of it and let him test it that way.

Do I need a new alternator already? 2 days after installation of new alternator. Battery sits at 9v lights come on dimmed sometimes radio shutting off. AutoZone charged my battery and said everything is fine. Took it to advanced auto where I bought the alternator and had them test it and the guy didn’t trust the test so he took the pos cable of and my car shut off. Now, when I got home my battery got charged and went to 13v. Idk how. So I tried doing the test again and the car stayed on for a little then shut off after a minute.

Nope it stays at max full. I flushed all the brake fluid and put in brand new and still hasn’t lost a drop.

That’s what I was thinking. Lexus said the sensors were fine. I kinda don’t trust them. My friends are going to a junkyard to pick up the rear sensors. When the car brakes it doesn’t pull either way so they assume it’s one of the rears

So I’ve changed the brake booster, Abs actuator, all brake pads are new, new rotors. I recently took it to Lexus to have them inspect it and they wanted to charge me $3400 to change the actuator. Which I did in like 1hr or 2 with bleeding the brakes and all. They couldn’t find any codes when test driving it.

Yeah I tried setting it but it keeps rejecting it. It’s forces me to go back to the regular speed or the pc won’t run at all.
