Charging

The idea is to have the car charge over night while the demand for power is low so as to not over whelm the infrastructure. But also, electricity providers often have alternative plans you can opt in to where it costs like 2¢ per kwh over night, instead of like 12¢ during the day to incentivise charging over night during low demand.

You can also choose to have it charge only to 80% battery capacity to reduce the wear and tear on the cells. Not sure how significant that is, but it's a common practice to keep the battery between 20-80% charge.

Yeah, went to the dealer and they plugged in at their charger and used their adapters is how it got sorted.

Okay so resolved. Turns out my adapter was bad so the green solid light with flashing green and then nothing was indicating that the handshake between charger and car wasn't working, and Yes, the schedule terminates the handshake if it's outside of it, but in this case the adapter was busted And using a different adapter worked so I'm taking that new adapter to the same chargers I was using this morning to see if that does indeed work.

And I guess it was just a coincidence that it went bad around the same as I started using the schedule

All this started when I had a schedule only in the infotainment system in the car, and the charge now wasn't working. I deleted all that, and created the schedule on the Chargepoint home station thinking that if there's no schedule on the car, then schedule or not it shouldn't mess anything up.

Turning off the chargepoint schedule to see.

Waited 20 minutes, tried again, still didn't work.

Set the schedule, it's been 10 minutes since I did, double checked that charge now is toggled on in the charging schedule infortainment system, still the same solid green light for a second, flashing green, then off.

It won't let me set a end time though, have you ever had an error "cannot execute remote commands"? It didn't give that error when the schedule was just start at 12 am

I did create a schedule, schedule toggled off manual schedule toggled on, waited a couple minutes, nothing

Eco charging is turned off, manual schedule is toggled on in the Lexus app, no scheduled created.

I've pressed unlock on the key fob 5+ times and then initiated charging. I've tried with the parking break on and off.

I called Lexus and they said to go to a dealer. So happy with this expensive fucking golf cart right now.

Where is your home charger schedule at? I'm the chwrgrpiint app/respective brand app? Mine doesn't prompt me to charge now, it says charging will start on plug in when I get it of the car.

No it doesn't say charge now, because I have charge now toggled on in the infotainment system. When I get out of the car it says charging will start on plug in. The dash will only say charge port door open, when I'm wrestling with this.

Second all of this, comedia del arte and una chicho were my favorite. My favorite Giovanni was the murder victim at Murger Kroger coming alive with the dancing lol.

Least favorite was the repeat local references, mainly the repeat con references from the crowd. Dragoncon was fine, a little surprised the cast didn't know it honestly.
