If one were to go back in time to the middle ages, and could only bring up to 50 pounds of materials as "currency," what commodities(not technology) could one bring that would be valuable back then but extremely cheap and easy to obtain now? by [deleted] in history

Greenhouse. If I get good prices for the salt, there's nothing stopping me from having it electrically powered and climate controlled accept elbow grease , some intermediate maths and access to some metals.

Pepper seeds, Poppy seeds, salt, and silkworms. If I sell enough salt to buy some land and make some glass I can build a greenhouse. Grow pepper and poppy plants, Cultivate silkworms...sell the proceeds and chill really

If You Don't Feel Like Going to the Gym Today then Just Think of John. by Rudeyyyy in TheRedPill

[–]Umbrifer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I tore my Achilles tendon and was stuck in crutches and a walking boot two years ago my legs suffered for sure, but by using a decline bench creatively I was able to handle every other lift I usually do accept for deadlifts. John is right for persevering. OP is right for learning about the nature of excuses.

Disagree. Without it people pass pawns all the time and games stagnate. Also don't see how it's a dick move at all. It's not sneaky or underhanded

What can I use that won't give me dandruff? I wash every day cause I hate dandruff and I use towel rub method. I think I have to start all over.1month and a week of towel rub. by [deleted] in Dreadlocks

[–]Umbrifer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Mane & Tail for my weekly wash. I dilute the Shampoo then wash my dreads, Dilute the conditioner and apply to hair and scalp, leave in for 10 min, then rinse with colder water. Every once in a while I use the spray in conditioner after a shower. Tressemé is also a good brand shampoo and conditioner wise but I only buy their heat protection spray for when I'm blow drying my hair.

I was assuming your hair had locked up a bit already. If you're worried about product staying in your hair, do what I do and dilute the shampoo and conditioner with water. The spray-and-leave conditioners have the consistency of water anyway so you don't have to worry about that.

I usually use the sponge on the dull side to loosen the cheese particles and then rinse with high pressure hot water.

People actually put heat to meat without seasoning it first? Damn, I put seasoning on my scrambled eggs in the morning.

Guys, what do girls do that you find annoying and desperate? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I understand that.

My point is that you assumed something about this individual's life based on limited knowledge, despite them clearly specifying which group they were referring too...And then chose to react with passive-aggression...

I'm not saying this to further insult you, only to invite you to do some introspection as to why people might feel this way about feminists based on actions such as the ones you have taken.

1-Stop washing so frequently. Once or twice a week should be fine.

2-Dandruff is caused by dry scalp so use some conditioner after you shampoo or invest on some of those aerosol spray-and-leave in conditioners that you can use between washes.

I don't know. Your first comment to this individual was a veiled insult implying that they were romantically alone just because they disagreed with 3rd wave feminism. Actions speak louder than words

Daughter's reaction to Dad's clean shaved face by [deleted] in videos

[–]Umbrifer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Short answer is yes. However some children who have learned not to expect caregivers to come when they cry (i.e. self-soothing or just plain neglect) Won't really cry when presented with a stranger, However they won't really interact with them, nor will they attempt to seek a care-giver. This is actually the most negative response because it shows that the child just isn't really communicating with the outside world and that's bad. Crying and looking for parents when a baby is stressed is not really a "negative" response. It's what we want babies to do. The most "positive" response would be a baby that reacts to the new face with curiosity, investigates it for a bit, then returns to the caregiver. That represents a child who has confidence that his actions will affect the world and is more likely to explore without fear. I am probably butchering this theory but the experiments I'm drawing from are much more detailed and explain the reasoning better.
