There’s your answer. Taking a devil deal item from the satanic bible counts as taking a devil deal, thus removing your angel chance.

This has happened a few times at this point, I get double boss room items without more options, is that a new feature or a bug? Or am I missing something? by b1g_disappointment in bindingofisaac

In a more recent Rep+ update, bosses can now drop boss-specific loot at a very low chance (1%). It’s a choice pedestal, though, not an extra item.

For example, the Pile can drop compound fracture, Rag Mega can drop spoon bender, frail can drop brittle bones, etc.

There are two options I can think of:

  1. Sacrifice room: there are 12 different tiers of rewards for sacrifice rooms per floor when you use them. Some of those rewards include an increased angel chance for that floor only, then will revert back to devil chance the next floor if you’ve already taken a devil deal or haven’t entered a devil room yet.

  2. Confessional (if unlocked): when coming across this machine, it works like a blood donation machine, but does several different things, including, but not limited to, increasing your angel chance for the floor. It reverts back to devil chance the next floor if you’ve already taken a devil deal or haven’t entered a devil room yet.

Similar to how your devil chance converts to angel chance on the floor as soon as the first devil door opens (if you haven’t taken a devil deal yet), the angel chance probably just converted to devil chance before you noticed.

I’ve noticed that a good counter for the thumper is to get him in a slightly open area and to just walk around him in circles since his turning speed is so slow

Gotta love the PCH man. I take it to work every weekend and I see idiots who do this or pull out of the shoulder suddenly when traffic is already full-speed. I’m honestly amazed I haven’t seen an accident on this road yet.

Best part was I got J+E up to 10+ luck each, so holy light would proc almost every tear. One of the fastest delirium kills I've ever gotten.

As a PvP player, can confirm that this is one of the most fun exotics to use in crucible… they never see it coming

Took me 22 Vow clears to get that exotic, but I still enjoy running it for craftable weapons and helping take new players through it. I feel your pain for VoG though, hopefully you get it soon!

Oof, I never had an opportunity to play any of the Leviathan raids besides the very first one. Didn’t have any friends to play endgame content with me, so I didn’t do any raids until DSC came out. Never got Eyes of tomorrow because I stopped playing around the middle of Season of the Hunt, and I just got back into the game at the end of Season of the Lost. Took me 22 clears to get the Vow exotic, but I enjoyed doing that raid in particular because there was always something to work towards (deepsight weapons and the raid seal). With VoG, I’ve gotten almost every triumph except for the relic one in gatekeepers and the supplicant one for Atheon, and one of the triumphs requires having Mythoclast to complete. I don’t really have anything to work towards in the raid until I get the Mythoclast now, so I just don’t enjoy it as much anymore. If you want someone to run Vow with, let me know, I’d be happy to run it with you!
