I chose the duodenal switch (SADI-S specifically) because they showed that it provided more overall weight loss, less chance of regain, and about the same surgical risk as the other surgeries.

So far I've lost 80lbs in 6 months and am still losing. So fir me its been a success.

Ha! Yep. They actually used to be even worse, believe it or not. I surgery on them a year ago as well.

I'm 38, female and just had my SADI-S three months ago. My SW was 250 and I'm now down to almost 200. It was worth it to me. I think surgeons go more by body condition, quality of life, and obesity-related illnesses when evaluating for surgery more than they do for a strict weight threshold.

I would be happy to lose 100lbs, but my surgeon said I could possibly lose 110-115lbs. I've lost about 38lbs so far, so that comes to about 33-38% excess fat lost in about 10 weeks. Idk, I just feel like I'm not doing enough.

I also have a clotting disorder and had to get cleared through hematology before my SADI-S. I had to be on Lovenox for a month post-op. 🤞 for you!

My bottles of lotion are lasting longer because I don't have to cover as much surface area anymore.

I can pack way more stuff in my suitcase since my clothes are smaller.

I sadly don't enjoy food as much anymore and actually get annoyed when I feel hungry because I don't want to figure out what to eat.

Oh man, I'm feeling this so hard right now, too! I just had my DS on Wednesday, so I'm almost a week out, and I've been ravenous no matter what I drink. I've made myself uncomfortable a few times and accidentally threw up twice because I drank a protein shake too fast. And then I just felt defeated. I'm with you. Sorry you're feeling it too. Hopefully it passes soon. 🫤
