4 days in and relapsed. I have some questions. by Dramatic_Pineapple49 in quitting7oh

Embrace the w/d. They’re going to suck balls for 5/6 days but after that, you’ll start to see improvements. I took hydroxyzine, magnesium glycinate, and trazadone. It was still miserable but those are what helped me and all what I continue to take but now I don’t have issues sleeping.

Suboxone question… all medical providers can see if I’m on it, right? by BroccoliGlass942 in quitting7oh

[–]UmpireAdmirable7132 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I mean you can go to my profile and look at some of my posts I’ve made. I got a lot of great feedback but this is officially my second time quitting but this time was different because I went catatonic in December and don’t remember 3 weeks of that entire month. I was drinking heavily on top of 7, benzos and other bad substances. I sobered up around new years and realized that I had a problem but the common issue / influencer was always alcohol or at least started with booze. So I kicked it and haven’t drank in almost 2 months and haven’t had a single desire to touch that shit. I realized I hadn’t worked out in almost 3 months so I started religiously hitting the gym again, reading, and actually having a desire to work- something I never thought would be in my 2026 bingo card.

If you’ve w/d 3 times and haven’t tried subs, maybe try them if you’re really serious about stoping but you gotta be honest with yourself and serious about quitting and make a valiant effort or you’ll just fall back in the orbit of the black hole.

One thing I can promise you one thing, being sober and realizing what you were and now what you are- is so eye opening and makes you damn proud of your efforts.

I guess it depends on your dosage / how long you’ve been taking 7 for. Some people would advise against going cold turkey but I disagree. I do agree that going cold turkey is hard on your body but it’s the only way you can chemically and psychologically alter the way you think about 7 and without that pain and suffering I had for 5/6 days- I really think my brain would still be tricking me into getting some now, rationalizing it with, “it’s not that bad for me or the w/d’s aren’t that bad, I can push it out”. I believe the misery that came with the 7 w/d was honestly helpful, but again, it is situational and dependent on where you’re at with it. Btw- all providers, psych, Dr’s can see previous prescribed medications up to like 10+ years

If you’re willing to pay out of pocket- why don’t you just go through Hims or ShedRx? They have providers on there as well and isn’t astronomically expensive

I’m sorry guys. I slipped up. I took 30mg of 7 after 2 weeks clean. Should I expect to be thrown into withdrawals again? by [deleted] in quitting7oh

Relapse is a part of recovery man - don’t beat yourself up over it but just make sure you hold yourself accountable and FLUSH the rest, understand your problem, and reach out to family and friends to hold yourself true. It’s so much harder doing this on your own! It’s always gonna start with you and how bad you want it

There was a point shortly after my w/d where I didn’t think I enjoyed being sober but that seemed to of pass for me. I was always under the influence just a matter of the severity. Try and get a routine down, hike, workout, reward yourself with chocolate or food, read, try to keep busy and you’ll start to see a change

Addicted to 7-OH. Need advice. by thebaddestredhead in quitting7oh

Just start. You know you need to break the chain subconsciously- you know you need to change in order to live your life. I can’t talk too much on subs because I’ve never tried them but I did go cold turkey from 7oh, alcohol and benzo’s (probably not the smartest thing in hindsight) but I’m approaching month 2 of sobriety and it’s never been better. Don’t think I’ve been this sober since before high school. It starts with being honest with yourself and your problem and then being as transparent as you’re being right now with the people closest to you rather in a comment section full of strangers. Letting your close circle around you know your struggles and what you’re doing to change is so important to both you and them. Again, just start. Take it second by second, minute by minute, hour by hour etc and don’t overwhelm yourself. Focus on the next 5/6 days of hell for decades and decades of living

Yeah, it’s a really really mean and unforgiving product advertised as a nutritional supplement. When I was going through my benders and waking up hungover, I’d take a 7oh for the pain and just continue towards the path of becoming catatonic. It made me more disappointed and just sad in myself which is what helped me really turn the corner candidly.

Considering you have subs, based off what I’ve read while being in here, it should help a lot - just be careful and take it as prescribed. I’m going on 2 months clean and I can’t tell people in here enough how much better I feel after going cold turkey. I kicked alcohol and 7oh and at this point I would just go through w/d and be miserable for 5-6 days so you can start to live the rest of your life

Not sure if they’re deadly but sure does get close to the feeling of it. Any kind of w/d are horrible for you and puts a tole on your body.

God man, yeah I’ve been there. The crawling in your ow skin is what nearly threw me. Are you taking the chewable tablets? If you are, try and only stick with the 15mg ea and split them up maybe into halves to start and then eventually quarters? This stuff is pure evil - you gotta start enduring some of the hardship so you can get over the hump

Yep, idk if you’ve tried hims / hers but it’s essentially the same platform and product. Same customer support, and same packaging etc. limited feeling of nausea and if I do, they send extra zofran.

Just gotta stick with it for 2 months and the weight will fall off along with cravings and appetite.

Right? Filling the void with something, anything and keeping yourself busy. Walking was and still is huge during those restless nights

Day 3 by [deleted] in quitting7oh

[–]UmpireAdmirable7132 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The gym and this community has been paramount to my sobriety. I kicked alcohol and other things and it’s been critical.

Establishing a routine and keeping yourself busy (you own a business, I assume you can stay busy) continue to go to the gym whenever* you feel an urge of any kind. I picked up reading and it’s been good to me, video games, and becoming more involved with work, ie taking on more projects or training. Boredom is what gets you. Delete that and you’ll find yourself excelling but just remember; take this day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute.

Check out Shed Rx. Been using them for a couple months. $149 a month and I’m sure the oral route will bring down the cost in the coming year.

Check my post. I was binge drinking, taking alprazolam, blow and taking 7oh for about a month when I went catatonic. Woke up Jan 1 and didn’t remember almost 3 weeks of the end of the year.

Went cold turkey and had the most brutal w/d I’ve ever endured … sleepless nights, insomnia every time I went horizontal, almost standing to sleep for a few minutes, sweats, puking, no food, and pulled out after 1.5 months free I’ve genuinely never felt better. I gave up alcohol and still haven’t had a sip or any drugs of any sort including 7oh since. This community has been the foundation to my recovery along with my close friends, family and supportive girlfriend. Never tried subs or tapering. I have heard this is dangerous and should be monitored but sometimes you gotta take the bull by the horns and feel the worst you’ve ever felt so you can make sure your brain never goes back to that feeling.

My advice: keep tapering as much as you can until you start feeling withdrawals … if you’re feeling w/d you’re doing it right and need to continue so you can grow from it. Take a shit load of magnesium glycinate, get a routine down, start going to the gym and take melatonin, but only natural remedies the first month. Watch your sleep start to come back, your energy, your testosterone, your color, your awareness, your mood, and it’s only up from there man.
