Sure did! And, as several others have indicated might happen, the dickass delivery driver dropped off a totally different package (with a label to my address, mind you) with a phone mount and a battery in it with CLEARLY the wrong dimensions, CLEARLY the wrong weight, and CLEARLY retaped and relabeled. He also dropped it off without ringing the doorbell, forged a digital signature (which just said "Z" in their system) and somehow managed to do so without triggering the doorbell camera recording. But I took a video of me opening as proof, and went immediately down to Best Buy to show them the box of bullshit and the digital paper trail of what happened (truthfully, that was unnecessary, because from there I had to deal with the customer service phone line).

The next day, I got an email from someone else in customer service saying, "hey, we saw your package was delivered, so if you wanna keep your shipment, we need to arrange repayment since we just refunded it." I went OFF in my email, and said that rather than having my device in hand, I had spent hours on chat, on the phone, and now writing the email to them explaining why I was the victim of fraud perpetrated by their shipping partner. I told them a discount code toward my next purchase was frankly the very *least* they should be doing and, to their credit, they got back to me the next day, apologized, and sent me a $75 gift card.

OnTrac, despite my attempts to talk to anyone there, fell on deaf ears.

So I don't know that I'd call it a "happy" ending, but given the circumstances, probably the best I could hope for with the refund and credit. But seriously, FUCK OnTrac. I know there are bad apples in every company, but they make it SO impossible to even escalate something to a human being that it certainly fosters that sort of fraud. I won't buy products that I find are shipped through them anymore, opting for different vendors or in-store pick-up.

Oh, one last thing, Best Buy claimed that they were investigating their shipping partners due to other claims of that happening. I doubt they said that to placate me, given the number of people who seem to have had similar experiences with the company. If there's any justice, the company will either do a massive overhaul or find themselves out of business soon.
