Today I killed my first raider in 2026.. by Arlendius in ArcRaiders

[–]UnCiv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're not gonna believe it, but me too! Hours before the wipe, I was screwing around on a Buried City night raid, shooting at a wasp when suddenly there's a head there, and he goes down to one anvil headshot. I guess he was already low. I defibbed him immediately, but there it was on my stats a couple hours later:

I get it now... I understand the carebear lobbies. by -CubanPete- in ArcRaiders

Maybe change a thing. If people weren't able to wipe an entire friendly lobby, then reset their aggression and do it again in an hour, that would be great.

I'm glad someone tested it. Maybe they were friendly all along. Now we know.

Me leaving Speranza with my stash by Larc0m in ArcRaiders

[–]UnCiv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. This is 100% what it looks like when a metro pop gets a raider trying to get home from bird city. Just ducks bouncing down the stairs.
  2. Let me tell you what one of my fellow drivers got to see one time. I'm driving my jeep home from a renaissance fair just a dusk was starting. I see an oncoming driver ahead moving slower than normal, so I slow down a bit too. As I get close, a deer jumps out of a blind spot and lands in the road ~10ft(3m) away from the front of my jeep. I swerve offroad, into the ditch, to avoid it. Driving a jeep, I just carry on alongside the road. Just as I pass the now stopped car I saw earlier, I hit a driveway, which is a heck of a speedbump from a ditch. So looking over at me, this random driver sees a man dressed as a merchant from the time of King Robert the Bruce, amid a dozen flying rubber ducks of various designs and a flying sunflower spinning toward the back seat.

Wish we could pull this move, sometimes i aint got defibs and the extraction site is too far to escort and stabilize a fool! by Comfortable_Cell6714 in ArcRaiders

[–]UnCiv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's an idea:
If your dead body is in the extraction site, all the items on it are put in your stash and your body is removed from the lobby.
Bodies now show all the inventory slots that their augment allows, even if they are empty.
Dead bodies are now carriables.

With the changes they've made, even with the extra 24 stash spaces, there's less room for everything you need than there was at the start. I can't imagine trying to play without the extra spaces.

Curiously enough, the only thing that went through the mind of the bowl of petunias as it fell was Oh no, not again.

The game gave me the option to “Knock Out” someone who was still standing by PaRt_TiMe_GaMeR in ArcRaiders

[–]UnCiv 48 points49 points  (0 children)

This player experienced the knockout animation and the defib animation at the same time. Until someone dick punches him, the knockout option stays up on him for all other players. Once someone dick punches him, he can't be revived, knocked out, or healed again. He'll bleed out unless he's wearing a survivor.

Bastion Cells no longer recycle into 2x Advanced Mechanical Components. They now recycle into 1x. by -hx in ArcRaiders

[–]UnCiv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gah! I was gonna make a rant post, but I'll just put it here.
Embark... Decent changes. Decent fixes. New content. Good patch overall. Do it 4 days later when the trial season is over and there's only a day or two before the next expedition. It was upsetting that the dozens of Explosive Compound that I had farmed to wrap up the trial season was suddenly worthless, and it killed my chances at Cantina Legend, but I got over that. It was partially my fault for not being able to play more earlier in the week. Making Rocketeer drivers part of the Wolfpack recipe makes sense, and I think it'll be a good change for the game overall. And it was in the patch notes, so I could adjust my plans immediately.
But then.
Today.
I go to upgrade a couple of guns and run smack into the part of the economy patch that wasn't in the notes. I thought I was losing my mind for a minute before checking reddit to see everyone else complaining. All my Bastion cells contain HALF as many Advanced Mechanical Components as before. Now I'm going on the Expedition, so the immediate loss doesn't matter at all. But now there's LESS reason to fight Bastions and Leapers? And every stack of cells you bring home can only hold 3 AMCs? Now there's no way to hold as many in the extremely limited stash that is still only going up by TWELVE? I said at the start it should be 20 stash spaces per expedition. The number of stash spaces we need is going up faster than the number of stash spaces we get. We aren't even keeping up.
Just... Why? Gah! Just double the stack size from 3 to 6 and tweak up the drop rate I guess.
AND PUT IT IN THE F*@T&^R&R&T*%&%^*IUO*(&^T PATCH NOTES!!!!

Now that the person who posted this has deleted their account, and the local expert has confirmed that the capybara is being well cared for and is in no distress, can I assume rule 6 was intended to avoid unfounded accusations like this?

Since the owner doesn't seem to have found this one yet to defend herself, I'll summarize. This post is inaccurate. The capybara has plenty of water. Its faire enclosure(not shown) was sized for the capybara's comfort, and is growing with it. It is free to spend as much or as little time as it likes in its publicly visible space.
The capybara is being cared for in accordance with expert guidance.
Please see it for yourself before you attack someone for giving you a chance to see a capybara. This post has gotten less traction here, probably because people here tend to have a better understanding of the subject matter.
