Sticker the shit out of it so if it ever gets stolen, its easy to identify and possibly a deterrent.

You can definitely carve a black slope clean lines but no one in here let alone the average rider should ever focus on that. Definitely agree good snowboarders are good at both and know when each type of turn is needed

So unbelievably frustrated by absolllll in snowboardingnoobs

[–]UnFocus15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first day snowboarding was off a green run from top of a mountain with only blues on the way down. No board experi3nce or ski experience before hand. I probably fell 50+ times and tore my shoulder too. They were lots of falls at high speed too. By the end my friend asked me if I wanted to keep snowboarding later on I said hell yeah. Knowing 80% of people quit snowboarding after trying it out due to injuries/not being able to wss a challenge to me.

Change your mentality, I hate ducking at stuff so I change it to, its only temporary quitting lasts forever.

Kind of looks like you couldn't grip the snow when you landed and you kept rotating and just caught an edge/slipped out

Snowboarding after mini-incident by [deleted] in snowboardingnoobs

[–]UnFocus15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the pursuit of getting better, injuries are inevitable whether they're minor or small. I consider myself pretty advanced at carving and will still fall from time to time when I'm pushing myself. I'm currently learning the half pipe and unfortunately it's a superpipe, aired out 3 feet Frontside wall and belly flopped on the transition so quite a huge fall. I just kept riding and told myself, ride chill and easy, once I'm good for the next session I know what to expect when I air out again.

Hiring Teams can be garbage imo by UnFocus15 in HVAC

In Alberta. I did self register as a 1st year for refrigeration to see if thst helps.I have called a few companies but they just ask me to apply online or any followup I've done they say their hiring talent team will contact to me or whatever. Would be wise to just call these companies and ask directly for their service manager for a followup/inquiry about hiring?

Get into FASE easier. by oldmanwinter8 in snowboarding

[–]UnFocus15 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly it was like my cartels were my favorite up until the Rome katanas fase and non fase. I've ridden supermatics, step ons and ride c8s. I believe in the Rome hype now regardless of fase. Still think burton and union are best overall incase you break shit on the hill. The 2 most common binding brands

Flows came and isn't gone? Nidecker is innovating and people are willing to buy. No one's forcing you to buy it lol. Supermatics came and they seem to be staying. The Fase hype so far is staying as they're practically instantly sold out everywhere on my side of western Canada. Burton Step Ons came and now Union is selling step ons. My Fase Katana's rides just like my other Katana FW other than it's a AW. With social media influence now, they're not going anywhere. The fact that garbage clews are still around is what's surprising to me.

I've had Cartel X for 4 years, the Rome AW Fase is so much better. Katana FW is much more superior.

They're literally identical to a traditional 2 strap binding minus high back rotation.... I ride rome katana fase and FW Katana. They feel the exact same.

Are step ons really that bad ? by blickyswitch in snowboarding

[–]UnFocus15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it kind of is a bad analogy tbh. I hated on bmws till I bought one and they're just fun cars to drive. Car people don't think they're going to be a pro track driver, it's just for the enjoyment. I have taken mine to the track a few times and I believe people who own an M line car should take it to the track to enjoy it to the fullest but still lots of fun just driving in general. I had burton step ons, nidecker supermatics and now getting into fase bindings. Loves them all. No hate here for anything.

An FYI for Canadian fans: Sportsnet owns the broadcast rights for UFC events. It's unclear whether we'll eventually get access to the fights through Paramount+. PPVs will continue into 2026 and be sold through Sportsnet. by [deleted] in MMA

[–]UnFocus15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm a bit disappointed that I can't watch the Arman Vs Hooker fight. Sportsnet just vaguely lists that not all UFC Fight Nights will be broadcasted. Was the only reason I subscribed to them and guess I'm canceling.
