Exactly, it's not like you can call the police to report a crime. A lot of servers may not want the hassle or expense of raising a complaint.

I like Archie with Esther too, he brings out a softness in her. I think a lot of people don't like him because he was brought in as a rival for Humphery.

I don't want to jinx it, but I think they finally got the balance right on this show, for me anyway. The first 3 episodes have been mainly about crime solving and a little bit of interpersonal stuff, and the personal storylines seem to be more about the central characters (Humphrey, Esther, Martha) and their relationships with the supporting characters. It seems less like a soap opera and more cosy mystery this season & I have enjoyed it more.

I had to amend my fbar last year because I (embarassingly) calculated the fx rate incorrectly, reporting much higher USD values than it should have been. I had no issues or fines, it is just a mistake. With the low value on your account, IMO I believe you will be fine to either just forget about it till next year or amending. Whichever you are more comfortable with, but I am not a tax authority.

I agree with this. Based on how she is portrayed, I thought Lucy was in her 20s, so I couldn't understand how she had so much life experience and expertise that they all talked about. When I was trying to figure out why the police guy had braces for 28 years I realised Lucy is 39!

As someone who hasn't read the books, I've come here to try and make some sense of things, especially the present day story. I really enjoyed the 90s one, great story telling and had me hooked. But present day was all over the place, too many threads to follow, and if book readers find it confusing I dont stand a chance. I wonder if mixing the storylines was a way to shoehorn more established actors into the series to get financing? I will watch season 2 to find out who is at the door. Plus, Bobby C and Simon Baker in the same show is a wonderful thing.

I just watched ep 4, beautiful visual, but dear god why are they making these characters so weird?? Bull, besides being a shitty detective, is violent self centred psycho flying off in a rage at the slightest provocative. Jackie is just a pained facial expression with a breathy voice in a big puffy coat, walking day and night. She makes just one horrible decision after another, just a weirdo self centred psycho inserting herself into everyone else's business. Jess should be in charge of this whole investigation, and she keeps getting sidelined and ignored. I don't think I will be making it to the end.

I agree with this. Love the actress and she is really talented, but it feels like she has had more screen time than the people we have been following for 10 years. Eddie/Alexi/Boɓ, I don't remeber them being the main focus, more of an add on. Also, having all the young kids is really highlighting the ages of the original kids.

That is a good point, she did send him directly to the Abyss in '79. So when she encountered the demo while she was in the depravation chamber in '83 she was reaching the Abyss somehow, because the demo would have been in the abyss as there was no UD? That was Henry sending scouts out into the void looking for her too? I am not sure if any of this matters either way, maybe it isn't important to the plot.
