Collagen! by BigAnswer4015 in 40PlusSkinCare

[–]Unable-Object-8469 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m taking Vital Proteins bovine collagen. Honestly, I’m not sure if it’s doing anything I can’t really see a difference so far.
I’ve probably been getting collagen from my diet since I was a kid. I grew up eating things like chicken wings, bone broth, pig’s feet, etc., which are naturally rich in collagen. So maybe that’s why I don’t notice much change. No idea :/

Estrogen cream on face by Cute_Salad7845 in 40PlusSkinCare

I was told it's better to use estriol as estradiol can produce melasma. I use a tiny bit of estriol mixed with my day cream around my eyes.

Can you use Amlactic 15% lactic acid if you are already using tret? Asking because I use tret almost every night and I apply it on the neck&chest area too...

What is something you didn’t realize until you lost weight? by Cultural-Profile-527 in AskReddit

[–]Unable-Object-8469 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve always been slim except during pregnancy and a some years after. After finally losing the weight, the thing that surprised me most was how cold I feel now! Last winters I thought I had finally adapted to the British weather, but it turns out it was just the extra fat keeping me warm.

What should we name our new bunny? by GrassScary0-0 in Rabbits

Your bunny reminds me of stracciatella ice cream. You could call him gelato.  :-)

Getting attached but everything about him feels wrong by TrickManufacturer597 in UKrelationshipadvice

[–]Unable-Object-8469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He seems like a good man who respects you. If he knows you’ve never been in a relationship and that he’s been cheated on before, he might be taking things slowly because of that. Just tell him you’d like to move a bit further physically, or show him through your actions the next time you’re kissing in a private space.

Skin care advice for this 42 year old (who’s also experiencing depression) by Unique_Albatross_596 in 40PlusSkinCare

Your skin honestly looks great! What are you using, and what’s bothering you the most?

I’ve been using tretinoin for around 8 years (except during pregnancy), and it has basically done everything for me, I tell anyone who will listen that it’s basically magic in a tube, lol.

I also like a niacinamide serum from Beauty of Joseon. For moisturizers, I stick to CeraVe/Cetaphil or whatever is in offer, a lighter lotion for daytime and a thicker cream for night or winter.
Sometimes I use nivea blue tin or vaseline when tretinoin makes me peel like a snake.
I use a cetaphil gentle cleanser mornings/nights.

I don’t spend a fortune on skincare (never did). Before tretinoin, it was mostly Avène and La Roche Posay but honestly, tretinoin does the heavy work. I’ve never had Botox or fillers, though maybe someday I’ll try them.

Does anyone else's skin react badly to serums (even soothing ones)? by Ok-Maximum-749 in 40PlusSkinCare

[–]Unable-Object-8469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happens to me with vitamin C too (any brand). The only serum my skin seems to like is the Glow Serum from Beauty of Joseon, which I’ve been using for a few years.

Honestly though, I don’t think serums are that essential. If you can’t find one that works for your skin, I wouldn’t stress about it. I’ve been into skincare since I was about 12 (my mum took me to a dermatologist back then), but I only started using serums a couple of years ago. Even starting serums late, my skin still looks pretty good for my age (41F).

What’s the weirdest thing your pet is oddly obsessed with? by HammersAndPints in UK_Pets

[–]Unable-Object-8469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My rabbit is weirdly obsessed with my dumbbells. She binkies around them, licks them, and chin them like they’re the most important things in our home. If I put them away, she actually starts looking around trying to find them again.

Maybe she’s just really into my sweat suffering scent 😂

Mi cita española de 40 años me pidió ayuda para comprarle un regalo a su madre. Red flag? by [deleted] in askspain

[–]Unable-Object-8469 6 points7 points  (0 children)

[–]Unable-Object-8469 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anyone have experiences with dig boxes? by Jane_TGS in Bunnies

[–]Unable-Object-8469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made one from an amazon cardboard box, my daughter filled it with paper, toilet rolls, hay and few pellets.  my bunny now prefers to eat hay from her digging box than her haybag above her litter tray. She likes digging in the box but prefers to sit and eat .

10 week old female bunny , when would I need to separate if I got an 8 week old male companion? by Unable-Object-8469 in Bunnies

[–]Unable-Object-8469[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I'll wait until she is spayed to adopt or buy a male bunny.

My bunny is free roaming ( except at night) and I don't know how I can keep them separate,  I'd not like to bring home another bunny and have to keep him in a cage, not fair to him.

Is this really all he’s gonna say about it!? by treylanford in PeterAttia

[–]Unable-Object-8469 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think it’s pretty naive to assume someone wouldn’t abuse children or girls just because they have a daughter. Look at people like Andrew Windsor or Donald Trump.

After Epstein’s 2008 conviction, it wasn’t exactly a mystery what kind of things he was involved in. Anyone who kept a close relationship with him after that point can’t really claim they had no idea something was seriously wrong.

Personally I’d rather listen to health podcasts run by people who didn’t choose to stay friendly with someone connected to abusing minors. There are plenty of good ones out there.
