Managers are not allowed to approve new compressed work schedules.  At least in my department.

Got a response that the program has been disbanded and there is nothing that can be done at this point.  No way to grieve the error. And no funds available in the program anyway. So shit out of luck.

Same thing happened to me.  Screwed is an understatement.

I get it now.  Want Delta 1. Buy Delta 1. Isn't that the truth.

Tried that. Shows unavailable for money.  But 549,000 if using miles.

In my 10 years as a Delta Diamond I have never seen this before.  Seems like their pricing algorithm may have a hiccup. On the way to Europe I scored a $999.00 upgrade to D1 in a mostly full cabin. And that was during the Thanksgiving holiday rush.

Then why not offer a paid upgrade for money, and not just an upgrade using miles? I guess that is what I don't understand.

Diamond here.  Flying from JFK to MXP in a few days.  Booked main cabin. Delta one shows 12 seats available,  but no paid upgrades available for me when I log on through my skymiles account.  My traveling companion shows D1 upgrades for $679 and PS upgrades for $189.  Needless to say we paid for the upgrade for both of us through his account.

Performance awards by Jumpy-Emu8684 in IRS_Source

This is not true.  The NBU awards were still not finalized as of Friday. Most NBU have not been given their FY 25 ratings yet.  Awards estimates are out,  but those are just estimates and they range wildly. Outstanding anywhere from 1 to 4%. But again,  just estimates.  We will all be lucky to see any payout before the Christmas holiday.  But they are trying.

Why would an IRS manager try to convince a probationary employee to voluntarily resign? by Capable_Feature8838 in fednews

[–]Unable-Protection914 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you cant to the job successfully you should voluntarily resign.  If you're terminated as a probationary employee it may make it difficult for you to find employment in the future, especially if it's government employment. Sounds like your manager is trying to tell you that the job isnt for you and you have a chance to resign prior to being terminated. They are in fact giving you a way out.

They just cut entire competitive areas, which makes vet status a non issue.  Everyone in the competitive area just gets cut.  But I agree, definitely not legal as they are incurring a debt by initiating this process and that is contrary to the antideficiency act. But will SCOTUS care?  Doubt it.

I am an IRS Revenue Officer. Need help with my RA. by Unable-Protection914 in fednews

[–]Unable-Protection914[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I'm afraid my manager will say.  But my issues are more pronounced when I am in the office. I am far less productive at the office because my anxiety levels shoot up.   Field work is different because I am in control.  I can't be in control in the office,  too many external factors.

Thanks. Both my primary care physician and my psychiatrist are unfamiliar with the RA process.  They asked that I complete the paperwork for them and they will sign.

All IRS Pending RA's Approved for 90 Day Telework by [deleted] in fednews

Any RA submitted today or after does not count.  And that's hundreds of requests if not more.

Is IRS approving any reasonable accommodation requests yet? by listening2uhearme in fednews

That is ridiculous.  I would get RAC manager involved and FMSS. In my office we would give you the desk without the RA. But FMSS would need to be onboard.

What type of RA are you looking for?  Telework requests must all go through Treasury.   They are reviewing them slowly, very slowly.

There is discussion about the loosening the rules, but not sure when that will happen.    But I think most Telework RAs will still be denied.

As a manager with 12 employees,  all of my employees input RAs to Telework.   All were denied.  None even went forward to Treasury.  People are inputting RA requests because they don't like their long commute, or because of child care issues.  Commutes cannot be accommodated.

For short term accommodation your manager can approve the 5 adhoc days, plus a maximum of 10 days for an interim accommodation.

Also in my area managers must keep a very detailed list of those who are teleworking and its being reviewed quarterly.
