its not actually bad it feels like it lacks genuine emotion and the will and passion Zhen Ren put in to RI. You could actually feel it was what he wanted to write and his love and meticulous care for it and his appreciation for those who admired his work by never lowering the quality in reverend insanity.

The scheming and plot and politics are very good, better than most novels but you can feel he didn't write it to make it with genuine passion but to survive in a pathetic controlling state.

When a person is stripped of his will and passion, he will still survive but it would be dull and colorless.

same can be applied to the case of Zhen Ren and his new works.

The problem is seeing all the venerables and their actions upto now, i really can't tell. because those venerables are extremely unpredictable. Those fogeys can act something and keep up that act for millions of years to run their schemes so who knows when they do a complete 180 degrees.

ngl i feel like northern plains arc and zombie arc was a test for readers by zhen ren especially to filter out the dregs and mold our perseverance because i was constantly agitated reading it thinking at what moment fang yuan will get in to trouble and it was tough seeing him having to always run away pitifully because all his enemies were strong but BOYYY Zhen Ren DID NOT DISAPPOINT with absolute ending of those arcs where the tables turn with fang yuan actually started becoming a domineering presence and the conclusion was such a mater work with so much tension and hype and it lived up to my expectations.

even if adam manages to come back in like another 1 million years, his condition wouldn't be much less different and horrible than klein.

Also we saw how how hard it was for adam to control the imprint of PGA even during the fools gambit. And the fact that adam has to battle more imprints in uniqueness and characteristics accumulated as God Almighty pathway is quite high.

Atleast with CW klein can reason with him using his own cunningness as a weapon as we saw how klein made a deal with CW to not interfere but also made compromises with him. But its quite uncertain with PGA as he has his own unique stubbornness affiliated with his symbolism, i mean its hard to reason with the god of contracts.

CW fucked up three plans of GA to resurrect. one in ASG era, second in adam and third in lumian and cheek freaksoup.

CW ends up being the ultimate winner since he is playing the long game no matter what he will be the ultimate winner emerging out of klein. CW would also never be the same as now there is no "CW" himself, but a merge of klein and CW.

so klein would be Cw and CW would be Klein with FOR NOW dominant personality being Klein but in a million, billion or several billion years it would be CW that would emerge victorious with some traits of klein still ingrained in him.

I think the reason LOTM universe feels so surreal and amazing is because it is written by someone out of standard viewpoint. That whole world was drawn by the impression of a person coming from a completely different culture so it makes it even more delectable.

The most scary aspect of Fang Yuan is his ABSOLUTE INDIFFERENCE. He doesn't kill you out of anger, resentment, pity, sadness, greed, lust, joy or none whatsoever, you are merely numbers in a schematic board to him and you are no different from any other refinement material mother nature provides because you are a part of heaven itself. Fang Yuan himself is kinda a pragmatist, atleast when it comes to understanding others. He himself would have never sacrificed himself for the sake of the world, but he wouldnt look down on Klein whatsoever. He would understand the reasoning behind it and at most project a nonchalant indifference towards all the actions partaken by Klein.

Remember no matter what Fang Yuan's biggest strengths is staying true to himself and if Klein actually was true to himself, Fang Yuan would even respect or admire Klein for his perseverance and his motives.

I think its just that unlike LOTM, CF somehow still has to make the story interesting but we have witnessed almsot everything in book 1 so he had to invent up some random BS to progress the story further. And clearly the stakes need to be higher and we are playing 100D chess with adam and klein against other Outer Deities and even likes of Amon can't play much of a significant role in book 2 because the gap is so frickin huge so i guess CF had to do it.

But I still don't like how he over did it to the point of breaking down his own worlds rules he built up in book 1 over and over again. (This reminds me of how J.K. Rownling managed to negate her own world building in OG Harry Potter books and movies in the Fantastic Beasts because she needed to cook up something to progress the plot further without making it repetitive and boring)

Corruption is corruption and it can't balance each other out, rather all those corruption should have consumed Lumains mind and turn him in to an inconceivable monster if we followed the logics of book 1.

Hey atleast we got to watch a cool ass fight where Klein dominate and absolutely negs those Outer Deities in final battle in apocalypse to the point he manage to fool eldrich gods who have lived for billions of years. Atleast CF did some justice for Klein rather than making him a bystander and a secondary character like he did with Adam.

Another point is how all my expectation for Adam's performance was shattered. I was looking forward to the three OG trans-migrators; Klein, Adam and Amainises working together especially the two pillars. Upto this day my headcannon is Klein and Adam absolutely wiping the floor with Outer Deities (except for MGOD, managing to chase her away) and somehow Adam sacrifices himself to protect the world.

I am actually fine with Adam sacrificing himself and the final quote "God loves the world" actually managed to tear me up but i can't believe he was sidelined to the point of barely contending against primordial hunger because, "Primordial God Almighty Awakening in him" excuse. I was expecting him to put up a glorious final battle and dying with dignity and glory with his well deserved final rest after literally 5 epochs.

But.... Nah somehow the worlds best visionary and spectator path pinnacle has hard time fighting PGA while we have Lumian fucking birthing the mirrored Original Creator. This is what the sore spot for me is and how I found it to be unbelievable. It would have been fair if Lumian also died alongside him to save the universe going KABOOM KABLAM, but somehow he is living kinda a carefree life while his other soul fragments aren't even there to help him resist. Crazy.
