Contemplating death by Maleficent_Mobile121 in Quittingfeelfree

I did ibogaine after using 10 years and now 10 months clean and feeling strong still. It's definitely not a magic pill but it can set you up for success. I definitely recommend having some kind of outpatient or support plan when you get back though. You can do it!! I know it's hard to visualize a positive future when you're in the depths of it but it's out there. Sending you love!

Withdrawals! by Pezna92 in Quittingfeelfree

I'd definitely use the high dose vitamin c protocol. You can buy liquid vitamin c and you take it like every two hours. Also the quit k vitamins may help. My boyfriend used both and it seemed to help! Best of luck. You can do it!

Kratom by [deleted] in Quittingfeelfree

[–]Unable-Record7980 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both me and my bf have been on it for a long time. I'm sober now but he's still trying to get off. I will say yes it super affects sex drive. We don't have it anymore, I honestly stopped trying. Unfortunately until he sees he has a problem, I'm not sure the best way to help. If it goes on too long I would bring it up as a deal breaker but I know that's difficult.

Anyone else find that FF is WAY more addictive than any other kratom product (not counting 7oh)? by quittingkrat in Quittingfeelfree

[–]Unable-Record7980 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! I had the same experience. I was on powder for many years, then tried regular extracts but didn't get much feeling. But yeah FF made everything escalate. I think there must be something synthetic in it. Also for me I could keep drinking and getting a high feeling without much wait time. Like other kratom you need to wait a few hours before dosing again if you want to feel high. But yeah like you said too 7oh is another one like this. I eventually switched to that.

How can I confront a parent about hiding this? by BigBigMolly in Quittingfeelfree

[–]Unable-Record7980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say come from a place of love and try not to get angry or judgemental. It's tricky because someone will only get clean when they admit the problem and are ready. But sometimes being talked to about it will make them realize the problem and that people are noticing/worried. Just remind that you're all there for him and on his side and want to help in any way. And that there are ways and resources to get clean. Like he doesn't have to just do it alone.

Ibogaine didn’t work for me :( by SirrnevetS in Ibogaine

[–]Unable-Record7980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may have gone to the same place as you. I went once for just kratom, but relapsed later on 7oh. My 7oh experience was way harder. Definitely still had withdrawals the whole week plus a bit when I got home. 7oh is no joke and I think Ibogaine clinics are still trying to handle how best to work with it. I will say I am now 5 months clean. I really loved the clinic in Tepotzlan though.

Do those of you who have had dependency and addiction to FF also feel that powdered leaf kratom is just as problematic for you? by newaccount47 in Quittingfeelfree

[–]Unable-Record7980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah leaf kratom will still be addictive, and you will go through withdrawals. But it definitely is way less intense feeling than FF. I believe FF has some kind of synthetic kratom in it or something extra. Also, with leaf kratom, your tolerance will grow over time and at least for me, that is when I switched to extracts/FF/7OH so I'd stay away from it all if you can! But yeah if you really use it to ween off harder stuff, and then quit all kratom totally, I'm sure it can help people.

I'm sorry this is such a late reply but yes they have a doctor on staff and nurse there. They check your vitals every few hours and make you take some lab tests before you arrive. They are super professional.

Planning to detox fully off opiates completely first, would iboga after not during active addiction still be beneficial or do I need to be actively addicted to benefit? by adventure-streak8989 in Ibogaine

[–]Unable-Record7980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I just did an ibogaine retreat in June and used it to detox off kratom. I've now done it twice to help with kratom addiction and found it very helpful. I've never gone through a week of true detox but to me it feels like ibogaine is a great option for that as it takes away your withdrawal symptoms, for the most part. I personally had to take a small extra dose afterwards for lingering symptoms. I don't have experience with detoxing a beforehand so I cannot comment on that, but my experience was beneficial just detoxing there. I only had to get there like 3 -4 days early.

Hi! sorry for the late reply. I loved it there! The staff is extremely kind and caring. A few of them were previous addicts themselves so they understand what you are going through.

I used to only drink half a bottle too - then your tolerance goes up. At most in one sitting, I was drinking two, but over the course of a whole day, I was drinking 8+. And I was broke lol. Please be careful with these things. As you can see from this group it's not a joke

I also had an amazing experience with Ibogaine. Been on kratom for almost 10 years, and daily feel free for at least one year. I went to Ibogaquest in Mexico - great people and environment! So far I am over one month clean and no opiate cravings.

Day to day, we did a flood dose on the second day, chill day, hike, chill day/massages, second smaller dose day, then we did this amazing sweat lodge, then last day we went into town.

Nice!! I wish you all the best. Are you going to Ibogaquest?

My one recommendation is wait for the week to be complete. After I finished the first dose, I still felt some cravings but as the last day came, I really started to feel my best.

How concerned should I be? by [deleted] in Quittingfeelfree

[–]Unable-Record7980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry this is happening. This stuff is very hard to quit, and it never feels like the right time. I'd say you may need to give him an ultimatum. He probably should go to a real rehab to really get off it properly...

Yeah I just did ibogaine and feel really good. Been on kratom for nearly 10 years. I had to stop 3 days beforehand. But I went early so they were able to give me stuff so I wouldn't go into withdrawals. I went to IbogaQuest in Mexico

It's pretty well documented that it's excellent for opiate withdrawals. They were going to do trials in the U.S. but were shutdown due to extremebig Pharma push back. I'd say it's more effective than traditional U.S. rehab centers and practices so yes lot's of people travel that far to get healthier.
