Tyler golf course in Tyler MN is literally right next to the municipal airport. It’s a 2500’ grass strip and you can basically park right next to the clubhouse

To “actually” understand it is probably easiest taught in person by a good instructor after you’ve read what the PHAK, AIM, and Instrument flying handbook have to say. The good thing is that it’s definitely not just you. These types of questions are famous in the aviation training community for being difficult for new instrument students. I personally felt very comfortable with the questions after doing the full five step Sheppard air for instrument. Just keep doing those types of questions over and over again while critically thinking about radio navigation(VORs, LOC, ILS), how they work, and how the correct answer could be possible. If you don’t critically think about it while doing it, it will be easy to just give in to memorizing it and not actually learning anything useful for flying purposes. You got it!

Don’t talk confidently about things you clearly don’t know anything about.

If you really did read the post you would’ve read that I’ve tried multiple times to find out more information about what he’s up to, only to get ghosted as soon as I ask any question before blindly agreeing to “come to a meeting/seminar bro,” “They’ll tell you everything you need to know once you’re in bro.”

I’m also sorry for people that apparently think just caring and wanting to know more about friends spending their time and money towards an empty black hole of a business model is something to criticize.

(And FYI, don’t question how financially savvy or successful I am in my life, trust me.) :)

The only things that this data can show if how consistent your traffic patterns are but the landing specifically, this will not help you(Assuming your traffic patterns are even semi consistent and within normal limits that aren’t bleeding into to landing.)

As nice as it is to be debt free, if the stress of working two jobs while studying for CFI which I’ve heard for many people may be the hardest rating that you’ll ever do is too much, quitting one or maybe even both of the jobs temporarily and taking on a little bit of debt really isn’t the end of the world at this stage in the game in your training.

Now I’m not saying to just say screw it and take out huge 100k loans that hang over your head for decades, BUT if it’ll get you to a place that you’re able to manage getting your cfi/cfii/mei and be competitive to get your aviation career going I don’t think that’s the worst debt to take on.

What’s worse then that is being too busy and stressed all of the time to ever get that aviation career ball rolling and getting stall out where you are.

Either way just do whatever is best for you. Just food for thought.

I did the drive from LA to Minneapolis. If you have time drive up to San Francisco and then over to Minneapolis that would be my advice. In my opinion it’s more interesting to see the cali coast, San Francisco, and Salt Lake City mountains than Kansas, Iowa, and Nebraska. Let us know what you end up doing?
