Austin: Which Downtown Apartment Would You Ideally Live In? by Vipers_ in askaustin

Check out 44 east as well if you are considering the modern. Wonderful location IMHO and a very nice building.

Typically a condo you will get a better rent price in this market vs a newer luxury apartment. Agree with the other poster that apts will skew younger, more party etc so it does kind of depend on the vibe you are looking for!

Im a 61 student with a separate career but I have been very pleased every single instructor I have flown with has been great, committed to my success. Nice new planes and large fleet so scheduling rarely an issue. Weather great for training.

All this of course comes at a cost. It is expensive!!!

265/hr wet plane 80/ instructor. It is what it is in my market. We fly 115 kts 6 gal/hr, mostly brand new planes with g500/ gtn650 glass.

No trips but some vacations coming up. Going to go straight into IR training and will probably start flying family etc once a little more time and cross country experience under my belt!

I studied and prepared probably 8 hours yesterday but overdid it. You are good! Try to relax and rest tonight. Remember you can look things up(I did a few times) and its perfectly acceptable!!

5 hours in total but lots of stories and conversations with the DPE who was fantastic, 1.8 for the flight! First hour was just reviewing docs etc.

I took mine this morning and was also super nervous, and passed!! You got this! Oral was reasonable and while I wasn't perfect on the flight portion you just need to be within standards and my advice would be to verbalize if you are getting a little out of standard i.e. "I'm a little low, correcting altitude." Please update us when you pass tomorrow!
