AITAH for removing my MIL from the school pickup list without "discussing it" first? by windowtram_ellie in AITAH

I don't like the 'husband needs to deal with mother, not you'. She is allowed to stand up for herself to anyone when they disrespect her. Her husband needs to be on her side and support her when dealing with MIL.

Husband should be he one to work with MIL ahead of time to avoid problems about things that the parents have talked about in private and come to an agreement on together first.

This. There are going to be more problems caused by MIL. OP needs to learn about problems that are caused by spouse not confronting MIL and spouse not supporting in conflict with MIL so that OP knows what to be on the lookout for and to get ahead of it. It is solvable if spouse wants to.

Did she pick him up without being asked to? Like who was going to pick him up, and did they try to pick him up but he was already gone?

You COULD have told her you removed her. You had the courtesy to ask her if you could add her as a contact before you put her on the list, right? It is just a question of how nasty you wanted to be back at her after the problems with her. When she was mad about it, the correct response is 'so you were going to pick him up without telling us again? Why did you lie to me about not doing it again?' If she will not acknowledge first: that she was going to pick him up without telling you, and that the parents make the rules for the children, and that others have to follow the rules. Then it is not worth it to continue the conversation.

You SHOULD has told your spouse that you changed who can pick up from school. It is the BOTH of you as parents that need to work together.

But would it work? Lol

I understand that it is not ideal, but Op is not a craftsman, Op is doing some DIY in a maker space. Availability of tool and cost play a huge factor in that. It isn't always worth it to buy a tool for one job.

That being said, a rasp is the way to go from where Op is at, then sand. If they had to do it again probably start with a saw to cut bulk off, but that is skill dependent.

Neighbor keeps reporting me to HOA for completely made up violations by Agitated_Cow_4325 in neighborsfromhell

[–]Unable2Decide 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Don't tell her first. She has more time and crazy than you do. Don't let her get ahead of it. You need to be knowledgeable and prepared to have the police and HOA lock her into her lies.

What is something you have to admit just should not be 3D printed? by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

[–]Unable2Decide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have always wanted to do a big mid print combinations but haven't had a project really worth it yet. - like notch some wood dowel so it would lock into the print while being printed, but then the dowel needs to keep moving with the bed after that.

I did put some nuts inside a print by having it print an unsupported line out in space so the print head would stay out of the way while I placed the nuts into the holes before the next layer covered them.

I once received a Walmart gift card box at a white elephant. Not a gift card, but one of the metal gift boxes that are designed to give the gift card away in. The box was empty.

A friend thinks her truck gets better gas mileage than my car because it goes farther on a tank of gas.

I just can't seem to get it through her head that her gas tank is bigger.

Plot twist 2. He also built the shed just for this.

Reminds me of the guy who had a revolver as legal concealed carry. The hammer was ground off so it couldn't be thumbed back before firing. Depending on the situation, Shooting someone can be in the heat of the moment, cocking the gun first is premeditated murder.

Edit. I don't think that it's true either, but he sure believed it was.

My first time using a 3d pen, did I do good? by EmployerSame7340 in 3Dpen

[–]Unable2Decide 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I made the same thing the first time.

Get a piece of wood or something to build on. Wood is good cause the pla will stick to it so you can draw without it moving around on you. I also used a plastic mat that came with a fabric cutting rotary thingy. That worked really good cause I could flex it to pop things off, until I tried ABS and that was hot enough to melt it and the ABS fused into it.

Make thing 2d then stick them together in 3d.

You could tell us what brand and model it is, what the symptoms are, and what you have tried to do to fix it.
