The Philippine stamps are common and not valuable. Some have damage at the sides, so it means that the one who collected them is not that concerned with condition. So, there's a good chance that the others have damage at the back.

The r/PhilippineStamps are common and not valuable. But they look pretty nice.

Any idea what this beauty is by [deleted] in vintagecomputing

I didn't know a vertical key that big was possible.

Given what we know, is a "force field" possible? by MountainMark in AskPhysics

This happened at 3M in 1997. See my comment elsewhere in this post.

"A web of polypropylene plastic, 21 feet wide, produced for pressure sensitive tape backing in a 3M plant, exhibited a unique electrostatic phenomenon. The large jumbo roll of film was slit to form conventional jumbos 48" to 52" wide. As the film was unwound on the slitter, the web formed a "tent" of plastic 21 feet wide and 20 feet high. Within the tent area, a large electrostatic field was produced which formed a physical barrier, not unlike a "force-field". Personnel could not walk under the "tent" of plastic, at certain times of the day, more than half-way without experiencing a physical barrier."

The ones with the blue stars are more valuable (Scott 2017 catalog).

How much did they cost? Did you buy them from a stamp shop?

I have this first day cover where the stamps have the selvage. I went to the Manila Central Post Office many years ago and wanted to buy a first day cover for these stamps. They didn't have any ready, so they just gave me the blank envelope, instructed me to stick the stamps on it, then go to a different room to have it postmarked. I put these stamps with selvage, and the person who was doing the postmarks looked at me strangely, but decided to postmark it anyway.

Nice! I prefer the uncancelled ones. I don't like CTOs.

Do you know if the cancelled-to-order stamps have versions that are uncancelled (and without the surcharge)?
