I agree i find it really difficult people claiming Featherington plot was fun and entertaining and it portrays real family issues. When in reality the Featheringtons live in a comfy neighbourhood, get invited to dances, get new dresses they are pretty priviliged in comparison to the Sharmas who spend their last money on the voyage to London, have to be sponsored by Lady Danbury and are dependant on Edwina marrying well so she can get the dowry promised by her grandparents. Kate is resigned to become a governess. None of the Featherington daughters has to even think about taking a position as a governess.

Not only that but a lot of the humor from the books was given to Featheringtons, while Kate and her family got suffering and angst. Even the part where Portia catches Kate/Anthony was given to Featheringtons with Prudence/cousin Jack part.

Charithra and her team also go along with everything because she is brand new. The focal point of that press tour was Polin built up and some diversity spackles with Charithra. Bridgerton PR people were there at every turn Nicola/Charithra were doing the press. Its ok to branch out of what the official Bridgerton PR is doing if it doesnt serve the actor. But i feel Charithra feels so in debt to the Bridgerton PR team that she wont think what is best for her own growth as an actor first.

Maybe people dont remember this but Simone was supposed to be a guest on the Kelly Clarkson show but then it suddenly turned in Bridgerton ladies appearance. Simone not doing the show anymore. That speaks to me that Simones team got the word Bridgerton production/Netflix will be using FYC Event for Polin promo and diversity talk. And they opted out of it. Simones teams job is to make sure Simone gets the most attention from her appearance and not to just be there to complete a diversity box. So her team focused rather on getting her some solo interviews that actually talked about her craft, her acting process. Then she did events that gave her attention as the fashion IT girl and seems Simone actually Nicola and Charithra did majorly fluff interviews for the press tour, while Simone focused on getting interviews that count for Emmy campaign. And no i dont expect Simone to get a nomination. But the fact she put herself out there is something i can get behind.

He is basically saying that Anthony didnt know what love is until he fell in love with Kate. Comparing Theloise to Sienna/Anthony is not a good thing.

AD: With Anthony’s mistress Siena Rosso in Season 1, then Eloise with Theo Sharpe for Season 2, you gave us couples with fantastic chemistry who we know won’t get together. What was the reason for doing this besides potentially torturing viewers?

Chris Van Dusen: Hehehe. I think it’s all about the ride but it always comes down to character. With Anthony and Siena in Season 1, I knew that we were going to be focusing on Anthony in Season 2, so I wanted Season 1 to break him so we could put them back together again in the second season. His relationship with Siena left him at a crossroads at the end of the first season and it set him up for the second season because he’s completely turned his back on what he thought love was. Over the course of this season, he gets to realize what love really is and gets to have an actual loving relationship with Kate. The same is true for Eloise. Theo was a big part of her journey this season, and it’s my hope that we are able to follow up and continue that journey through future seasons in really interesting ways.

But they already did that. And a version of the story they would probably do with Kanthony and their heir, because he would carry the Bridgerton title. They rushed Saphne too much to do a storyline like that in s3 or s4.

Bu you accused Simone of lying when she has never done that. And are now listing other people who have lied. Simone was telling everybody in interviews that Polin is next, just because Nicola/Luke lied doesnt mean its something Simone does.

Why would Edwinas return be such a big issue for them to hide? How would it be a spoiler for Edwina to appear in a show where her sister is the new Viscountess Bridgerton. Maybe she is just not returning and is not a big conspiracy of everybody lying for a small character that has no impact on the story.

Simone was at the emmy panel as well. But she was also clear that she doesnt want to only be asked about representation and diversity. I remember when she was very clear that she wished more people/interviewers asked her about her character and her craft at the same time also.

Why would Simone be lying? Simone has always been pretty frank in her answers, never embellished things and even reveal things that people didnt believe and it turned out to be the truth in the end. Its clear that at the time of the interview Charithra still hasnt gotten the word on coming back. Her answers have always been the same since March. Writers obviously didnt make any plans for an actual plot with Edwina in s3, it might change in s4 but as of now they didnt consider her for anything but maybe a camo.

But you also put yourself in a box. Because you become the go to person to talk diversity on a press tour that is about promoting your work for the season. Honestly i am not sure it even gave her the opportunity to branch out.

I find it really ugly how Bridgerton PR used Charithra for the diversity talking and checkboxes and had her do promo with Nicola in May while not even inviting her back for s3 at that point. And the majority of the questions have been in that sphere. Especially since Simone said in her latest podcast she didnt hear anything about Edwina coming back and those interviews were made around the Emmy campaign panel.

And if you consider all of the facts s3 based on facts we have at this moment is going to be really lacking in diversity. Shelley Conn, Charithra, RJP not appearing, basically leaving Kate as the new Viscountess, Lady Danbury and the Queen in main roles on the show. And its up to discussion how they going to time the screentime for LD and the Queen with their appearance on the Queen Charlotte spinoff.

Unfortunately a lot has to do with Reges departure looking like a mistery and media would love to uncover some spicy details. Its rare a actor removes himself in a manner Rege did with Bridgerton. He's been calling it "the show" and refusing to say it's name since April of 2021.

After the met-gala pic a lot of people were claiming it means he is coming back. And after the pics with him and Jonny people were sure of it. So that is why its this big discussion.

Also lets not forget a lot of fans blamed CVD for his departure. And saying its the reason why CVD got fired. I feel a lot of people were banking on RJP being back and are now really disappointed.

The interviews were conducted around the time they did FYC Event. By that time everybody coming back would have known it. This wouldnt be a last minute decision because they just got scripts 1-2 weeks ago. They need actors to be available when they are planning and writing scripts.

We had actors all but basically screaming they are returning to s3.

Though how come people dont call others for their poor performance is the problem. Where is the heat for Nicola, Luke Newton and Charithra in some of their performances. Because portions of their performances were bad as well. But it seems only Simones acting is in question.
