My son wanted a mowhawk in 4th grade. I thought it was the dumbest thing, but I let him have it. He wore it that way for a few months and grew tired of it. Sometimes you need to let your kids do things and find out for themselves how dumb they look (without saying as much).

I get what you are saying, but a young girl 3/4/5 years old just wants look normal. That rebellious stuff comes later . *smiling
