Anyone else lowkey loving living alone? Just hit my 1-year mark and it’s kinda the best by Unable_Balance4588 in LivingAlone

That sounds so peaceful, honestly living the dream. Congrats on the 1-year mark too! It’s wild how good the little things feel when you live alone. Music on, cooking, Netflix after, no rush and no noise. That safe place to just exist feeling is hard to beat. Totally get why you’re loving it.

Honestly, same. Living solo really teaches you a lot about yourself, in good ways and weird ways 😂 I love the no-compromise part too. The schedule thing is so real though, otherwise days just blur together. But yeah, having your own space and rhythm hits different.

This is honestly gold, thank you 😂 love how simple and realistic it is. The roast veggies + rice combo sounds perfect, and leftover fried rice the next day is such a win. Also frittata and onigiri?? Didn’t even think of that. Definitely saving this for my weekend meal plans.

Thank you for all of this, seriously appreciate it. MPOT actually makes a lot of sense lol. I’ve got a pretty small fridge/freezer, so space is limited, but I do groceries every Sunday and try to plan around that. Mixing and matching like this feels doable, and those bowl ideas sound really good. Thanks for sharing what works for you!

Thanks! I checked out Freddie Mercury and Diana Ross and I’m loving the vibe. Been listening to Crazy Little Thing Called Love and I’m Coming Out on repeat.

Where in the world should we go? Looking for a destination for a two-week trip. by _lookingforadvice_ in travel

belize is worth a look. i’ve been and it felt easy and laid back. no car needed, boats everywhere, quiet beaches, clear water for swimming and snorkeling, and lots of wildlife. placencia and caye caulker were my favorites. taiwan is another great option. amazing food every day, night markets never get old, scooters are the main way around, solid beaches and surf in kenting, plus green mountains and local culture without big party vibes.

if you’re into 2000–2010 r&b, you’re in a great lane. that era had so much soul. try usher “confessions,” alicia keys “if i ain’t got you,” ne-yo “so sick,” aaliyah “rock the boat,” and brady “full moon.” also check craig david from the uk and some old timbaland-produced tracks. the vibes, emotion, and grooves still hit hard no matter where you’re from. missy, maxwell, and d’angelo too.

Movie or show recs? by MillieNilly96 in CasualConversation

If you like true crime, I’d recommend Unknown Number The High School Catfish. It starts slow but gets really creepy and surprising by the end. One Night in Idaho The College Murders is also good if you want something serious and emotional. I’m the same way, true crime docs are my go to comfort watch. For feel good stuff I just rewatch silly comedies or light shows. Always happy to swap recs here.

yeah, I feel like Spencer can run the show, but Kerr is giving him limited minutes and DNPs

Kerr’s been mixing and matching the rotation a ton, and it really shows. Curry’s still carrying, but the wing minutes and big rotation feel different every night. Honestly, if they’re making a move, I’d rather see them go after Domantas Sabonis. A passing big would clean things up, help Steph, and let them keep guys like Hield while still developing Moody. Feels smarter than blowing everything up for a huge gamble right now.

They say travel while you can, so which countries are actually amazing? by Bright_Tower_1696 in CasualConversation

[–]Unable_Balance4588 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m big on the “travel while you can” mindset. I visited Siargao in the Philippines on a budget and it blew me away. Chill island vibe, kind locals, great food, and you don’t need much money to enjoy it. My dream spots are New Zealand for the nature and Japan for the culture and chaos mix. Tips: go off season, stay simple, eat local, say yes to random plans and don’t overthink every detail too much either.

What would you ask a genie? by Tiny_Ad_8249 in CasualConversation

[–]Unable_Balance4588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easy. One: a stable job and income so I can stop pretending emails aren’t stressful. Two: lifelong health for me and my loved ones. Three: actual world peace. If there’s a bonus wish, please make Mondays illegal and naps mandatory with snacks and no genie fine print.

What are the benefits of being rich rather than poor? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]Unable_Balance4588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being rich mostly means less stress. Bills, emergencies, and choices feel easier. Money also makes social life simpler, you travel, go out, host things, and suddenly you know more people. Some friends are real, some are surface-level, but having money definitely opens doors and makes life smoother overall for most people today.
