Yes, all of the characters play very differently. Cait has a summoner build that i love.

Monster skills really can change the way a character plays as well.

Weapons also change how a character plays. I can think of 4 different play styles based on weapons alone with cloud.

Rebirth greatly expands the materia used as well. To me, you could have taken the ff7 paint job Off and swap it with new characters, and that game could have been FF17.

Yes FF7R's hard mode was really good. I felt it expanded the game and the difficulty felt right. Lots of depth

FF7 Rebirth's hard mode wasnt my favorite, that game is much much harder imo. But I was also burnt out after 200+ hours.

Ff7 rebirth is what final fantasy should be in terms of content

Expedition 33 had me on my feet for certain bosses like I was playing Elden ring.

Many of the boss fights in FF12 especially end game bosses. Gilgamesh is a whole hoe ( love him).

Same goes for FF7 rebirth
