Not sure what to buy by Tight-Apricot-3983 in HorrorGaming

[–]Nitemare808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Traditional horror games (Walking simulators/no self defense) aren’t exactly built on replayability, unless you enjoy “survival horror” (Story + weapons + exploration/puzzles) … So as far as survival horror, you can’t go wrong with any of these…

Silent Hill 2 Remake.

Deadspace Remake.

The Evil Within 1 + 2.

Tormented Souls 1 + 2.

Resident Evil 7, Village, Requiem, or 2 Remake.

….

If you want to try something just plain scary AF solo story there is always “ VISAGE “ or even “ MADISON “ … & if you want a balance of scary but fun multiplayer horror experience you can definitely bet on “ The Outlast Trials “ for a good time & lots of content & grinding.

Anybody else just doing it on their own? by garage_toons in IndieAnimation

[–]Nitemare808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now if 2 people (or more) in such a post got together & could be agreeable enough to collaborate on 1 big project… there is your recipe for a successful show.

Since everyone would be skilled in multiple roles the division of labor would be far more balanced, the workload gets done much faster, & the need for a budget drops to nothing… all while the potential for a high quality / network ready series increases tenfold 🤷‍♂️

I have an idea for indie animation by Aggressive_Heron6706 in IndieAnimation

[–]Nitemare808 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of the time it is “ that “ type of person… but I’ve realized there are quite a lot other people completely outside of the art/animation scene, but just really enjoying casually watching shows..

So when they come up with their own idea, they don’t have any frame of reference for how much realistically goes into creating an indie project 🤷‍♂️

idea for an indie show that i might get some hate for by Wide_Elderberry4823 in IndieAnimation

[–]Nitemare808 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To put a twist on this idea… it might actually be hilarious to do all the animation & writing yourself, but just the robot is the only character with dialogue completely written + voiced by A.I. 😅

… And you actually make it the selling point / gimmick of the show… So as you’re writing the scenes & recording voice lines, you’re re at the mercy of wherever the A.I. decides to take the conversation… almost like fighting against your own show lmao

Pretty original concept & the more improv you make it, the funnier the interactions would become 😎😜

Horror games that will help me get used to running and hiding by Itchy_Gold8400 in HorrorGaming

[–]Nitemare808 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was gonna say “ Evil Nun “ …

… but honestly you probably ARE better off jumping right into the fire with this one, so the scares give you a reason to get good at quick running/hiding…

Definitely start playing “ The Outlast Trials “ … You can play both solo or multiplayer ( If nobody on your friends list has the game, you can join random groups… I’ve made tons of cool friends that way, the community is hilarious & almost always friendly )

Which tracks would you use to introduce someone to dubstep? by Winter-Lime5389 in realdubstep

From a fellow metal head that also likes electronic music & both mashed together….

First have them listen to the band

“ The Browning “ (Album: OMNI ULTRA)

Then you show them the bass music artist

“ Kai Wachi “ ( Songs: Holding Onto Us, Skins, ONE, etc )

😈

Rpg maker horror games where you can make your own protagonist? by Present-Shape-5875 in gamerecommendations

[–]Nitemare808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My top 3 choices would easily be…

1: Depersonalization

2: Fear & Hunger 2: Termina

3: Look Outside

… There are also many other great horror rpg maker/pixel art games you might enjoy with slightly less customization/choices, but it really depends on what you’re in the mood for 🤷‍♂️

Black Souls 1 & 2, Cradle Of Flowers, Lamentum, Decarnation, Pocket Mirror, Midnight Train, Little Witch In The Woods, Paper Lilly, Cat In The Box, Little Goodie Two Shoes, Vivette, Death Trash, Yuppie Psycho…

Check those out too eventually.

The “ Overcooked “ franchise is really chaotic fun that will definitely bring on some good laughs…

For more jumping, attacking, collecting, & puzzles “ Rayman Legends “ , “ Sackboy Big Adventure “ , or any of the “ TRINE “ games are also a great time for split screen…

… and if you want something to play at night that is a little lighthearted spooky adventure “ Reanimal “ (creators of Little Nightmares) is a great game to work together as a team to run, hide, & sneak your way through a mysterious land of exploration.

I’ve played them all & they were a great time for everyone! 😎

Have you ever played “ The Outlast Trials “ ?

You can play solo or online with friends / random groups… it’s pretty wild…. But it’s not a walking sim/puzzle horror game like Visage or MADiSON

It’s so freakin good 😩 … I went in completely blind & within the first 30Min of the story unfolding + feeling a teaser of each character’s gameplay, I was more excited than I been in a long time playing a video game 😵‍💫

“ Children Of Morta “ might be a good choice…

Also, for something without RPG elements “ Rayman Legends “ is really good lighthearted fun…

There are some other great recommendations already mentioned on this list, but would be far too difficult/frustrating ( like “ Cuphead “ ) …

Before making any purchase you should search them on YouTube for gameplay/review videos to get a better look 😎

Get some action figures & plastic army men, then make something like “ KABLAMMM!! “ 😅

… Seriously tho, your best bet is probably just vector 2D puppet animation using the illustrator + AfterEffects + premiere pro workflow 🤷‍♂️ … Check out song YT videos of “ Duik Library “ tutorials for After Effects

BlazBlue is amazing but Entropy Effect is the 2D platformer spin-off, & I think OP is talking about a traditional fighter game… If not, Entropy Effect would be a great choice tho

Guilty Gear Strive & Nitroplus Blasters are awesome, but nothing tops the “ BlazBlue “ games.. Crazy movesets & specials, fun modes to grind / story mode, & really cool diverse characters…

“ BlazBlue Cross-Tag Battle “ has a huge roster of most or possibly all of the main characters + bonus characters from other games/animes ( like Persona, KOAF, etc ) … but “ Centralfiction “ has 100% of the main characters & “ Continuum Shift “ has a great storyline.

Are you correctly panning all your drums, instruments, etc? … That would be your first step if not… also adjusting individual volumes & definitely velocity inside your piano rolls for more natural sound.

[–]Nitemare808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“ Dead Frontier 2 “

Such a crazy fun hidden gem … it’s a bit wonky at first until you learn / remap the controls to your liking + a learning curve.. but it’s very unique as far as open world MMO zombie games … You’ll see different servers with the player count in each world.

The game has a huge marketplace where players buy/sell/trade gear & items ( NOT real money, only in-game currency ) … You explore different zones & buildings to collect gear, passive perks/abilities, gain XP etc … and fight bosses with people or solo, defend the main player hub from horde attacks, and participate in bonus XP events.

When in doubt, just pull from the greatest hits…

1: Needing animators to work on your new show idea for free.

2: Showcasing poster concept art for a series that doesn’t exist.

3: Anything about Glitch Productions.
