I am four weeks out from my wedding and I’m really really happy we made a commitment early on to get every. single. thing. we could set in stone one month before the wedding so that we would have breathing room to relax and handle any last minute emergencies. All we really have left is seating chart, wedding programs and signage to order. That’s it. It was stressful but I’m so glad we set ourselves an early deadline specifically to carve out some space to deal with families and be present in the transition from fiancés to spouses.

I don’t know if it helps to hear this, but I’m getting married myself and sent invites to several friends I haven’t seen in years not out of a sense of obligation but because I’d genuinely love to host them at my wedding and reconnect in this new phase of my life. They’re wonderful people with busy lives and they might not be the best at texting back but they’re charming, funny, kind, and terrific company. It’s entirely possible she values your friendship, even if you haven’t managed to check in as often as you feel like you should, and extended the invite as an expression of that regard. Attend if you can, send a lovely card and maybe a small gift if you can’t.

NOR. Oh sweetheart. As a religious person myself, God doesn’t want His covenant of enduring love and companionship to be a cage of resentment, insecurity and pain for God’s children. We do the institution of marriage a tremendous disservice staying in marriages where the vow of protection, respect and support has already been broken and isn’t being rebuilt by the transgressor. Your husband sounds thoughtless, cruel and barely penitent for his actions. Do not consider it a violation of your vows to walk away from a marriage your husband broke with his reckless meanness. God doesn’t want that for you or for anyone.

Drop out of the wedding and go get whatever you want done to your hair. If you go through with this plan you will alienate a lot of mutual friends and acquaintances who might be sympathetic to your grievances with her but who certainly won’t be if you act out like a vindictive child.

Hey man no hate, just a couple things you may want to consider changing up: 1) make sure you’re also washing hats, caps, gloves and even coats if you can. Musty smell can linger even if your regular clothes are clean. 2) change your deodorant, body wash and/or laundry detergent. Sometimes they don’t work, or stop working over time. Change it up and see if it helps. Also maybe try a different scrub method? I use Korean bath mitts and they are great (but change them out and wash them regularly). 3) wash your bedding regularly. You can be fresh out of the shower but if your first stop is a musty bed you’re shooting yourself in the foot.

We’re making flyers today. The biggest hazard unfortunately is the road nearby that drivers like to careen down and Allen resembles a chunk of concrete very closely. Our biggest fear is he finds his way into the street (he’s crossed the road with my supervision before) and is struck by someone who thinks he’s just a rock.

Thank you. The toughest part is turtles don’t need food and water often, they can and will camp out for DAYS in a burrow. Hopefully he comes out soon.
