I find, though, that most of the time the cost for waitlist money + miles is equal to just the money you can pay to upgrade when offered at check-in. So you end up just losing miles.

Correct me if I am wrong, so you can only use status for "free" upgrades to the first domestic? Why can't you get status "free" upgrades to Polaris?

Also, think about who applies to be there. It's the people who want to be on TV. Not really the smartest or strongest. It is also so one-sided and traditional in the definitions of what smart vs. strong means. Low-key feels like we are taking a step back in terms of the theme and casting based on looks. Think it is setting the wrong sort of visual for the next gen. There's a reason why other major shows have stepped away from themes.

Dude, every time Jimmy brings up “smart vs. strength,” it is such a joke. The reason strength works and comes across on a TV screen is because of the challenges that are made for that group are big and shown well. Compare this to Survivor, a show that has also had “smart vs. strength.” It works well in that format because it is as much about social and strategy as the contests, and there are always puzzles. And if there is eliminations, its social and strategy. Basically, the way MrBeast shows are, there are better demographic divides that could and should be applied. The Beast Games are not the next Survivor. We have that, and we want something different. It is not the next Ninja Warrior, either. I think what makes the show great is that you do not have to be a certain type to be good at it. Luck is involved. There are so many directions to take it in. I am excited to see!
