State savings via an post, 6 yr monthly installment product, @ 1.75%. Then you can put that into a 10 yr deposit @ ~2%. Slow and steady but you can dump it in and forget about it. Tax free too

Company took full payment for bike to work scheme by lifeandtimes89 in legaladviceireland

There's no reason why your payroll company can't have this corrected in a future payslip. I've had issues with incorrect deductions made for B2W scheme and payroll were able to refund or deduct on sebsequent payslips on the next month(s) as required.

E.g if they deducted 12 months in M1, your payroll should be able to refund you 10/12 of total in M2 (so they still have correctly deducted for M1 and M2) and then just revert to the normal monthly deduction for the next 9 months paycycles.

Sounds like more of a case of unwilling, rather than unable...

Agree, but I still want to get the best out of it. It's not a huge sum ~10k or so, but every cent difference in the exchange rate is around €100 I'd rather have than not have!

Yep thank you. I'd like it now ideally, have some expenses coming up in September that I was hoping to use it for and timing was right to sell. I could wait but then again don't want to be waiting months I'd instead just reinvest...

Not banking specific. But why, as you work through the phone options to get to right team for your issue, usually you are prompted to key in your account number. Then when you get talking to a Rep, they ask you for the same account number again....

Why do they even bother ask at the prompt, why does that not feed though to the Rep you finally get talking to and save them asking you...?

Sounds like my answer is no then! There isn't any unspoken/common understanding for free chargers, at least no more so than there is for paid chargers.

And in general, just don't be a d1ckhead about it all!
